We wanted to visit the Costa Brava region of Spain as an extension of our visit to Barcelona. We were not disappointed with our decision to go to one of the closest beaches, Santa Cristina in the Lloret de Mar district. Santa Marta Hotel overlooks this beautiful beach and provided a wonderful and restful stay for me, my husband and our teenage daughter. Upon arrival, I requested a room overlooking the sea and they accommodated us. The room had a spacious balcony and plenty of room for all three of us. The bathroom even had double sinks, a bidet, and everything was impeccably clean. On site was a wonderful restaurant which served dinner on a terrace overlooking the sea, a breakfast buffet on an equally beautiful terrace, and a lunch buffet on the beach. The food was amazing. We loved the complementary appetizers at the start of each dinner, and the complementary glasses of cava. The Hotel also had a wonderful salt water pool, a hot tub, tennis courts, library, and live performances in the evening. The staff was attentive and engaging. We loved every aspect of our stay and would highly recommend this Hotel for all types of travelers.
VG facilities really liked the outdoor pool area, great sun trap & very comfortable loungers. We used the locked luggage room prior to check in and after check out. Very handy & hotel staff very helpful.Good indoor pool & gym. Room clean fairly spacious & decent bathroom. It had what you needed.
Breakfast excellent with very wide choice.
Guests mainly seemed to be over 50 this was fine by us, no late night noise.
Basically the hotel offers very good value for money. Decent quality accommodation which will not break the bank hard to beat for the price IMO.
Hotel sfaff are very helpful and friendly.not much going on in the hotel on evening bit of kids music but plenty of bars close by outside hotel.rooms are very basic but clean.staff came in made bed and changed towels each day .patio doors are quite sound proof had 4 lads playing loud music til early hours but with patio close didnt seem to bad
First of all all Spanish hotel star rate is not the same as EU.its was 4* lovely little hotel,15 min walk from high street and night life so you cant hear any noise and drunks coming back early in the morning. It doesnt have outdoor swimming pool but got their own spa in the basement and little gym but sea is 2 min away from the hotel.Swimming pool can use at home. Rooms vere comfortable and clean, with air con and tv but no fridge .you can have one on demand.Every room has a balcony also.Very clean towels can be changed eery day.
Food wise was ok but everyone could find food to their taste. They alwYs had a choise of meat and fish, salads, fruit, dessert ,variety of hot drinks and snacks..Stuff was very nice and friendly, very helpful.WiFi works in the lobby but you can have it in you room also by paying 20 euros for 5 days.As i said beach was literally 5 min away, this hotel is perfect location. Will be great for families and couples,as there is no night clubs around and loud pubs but are just 15 min away.Bar closes at 11 as well which is good as there is no noise as hotel is small compare to others.I loved every minute spend in Asacias and definitely will come to Lloret and will book same hotel again.Great value for money, good rooms, cosy hotel, friendly stuff, nice food and perfect location!
Stayed in Superior silver 4* room.
Though reporting the air conditioning was not working on the 1st day and assured this would be looked into on same day and engineer investigated this on the 4th day. The hotel engineer found the pump had gone after lifting a ceiling panel to investigate. This was not fixed/replaced and was not offered an alternative room throughout the whole 7 night period. This was a requirement especially given the warm evenings and resulted in uncomfortable nights in tne room. I brought this to the attention of the person at the reception desk when checking out of the hotel but they showned no concern or care.
Also on the 1st day I also reported a timber bed panel under the mattress was broken and sticking out which as a result I hit my leg on it and reported broken panel caused a dip in the mattress resulting in nights of uncomfortable sleep. This was fixed in the afternoon on the 4th day.
Activities for Kids club for children over 6 years need improving. Brought my grand-daughter of 7 years to kids club only to find other kids just colouring a picture. This activity is for the early years group. Grand-daughter is way to advanced and was not interested in staying!
I was surprised to find the bathroom sink is
Fridge in room did not cool anything even when dial was turned at the highest level. Waste of time it being there.
Excellent swimming pools!
Balcony small but great view.
Room cleaned everyday including Bed linen and towels being changed.
A playground for British family holidaymakers on a budget for over four decades, densely developed Lloret de Mar is the biggest resort on this coast. The five long sandy beaches are its pride and joy, four of which are backed by pine trees. Water World Lloret is a major water park while a water taxi service links Lloret de Mar to other seaside resorts. After dark, dozens of international-themed bars and discos host an all-night party scene.
