"Road noise was annoying form our room but that can’t be helped. Dinner/breakfast, bar and reception staff amazing . Food at restaurants was lovely. Spa facilities were good and busy. Room is clean tidy with lovely shower."

"Great location . First impression a very grand staircase and chandeliers . Rooms have very dated wooden furniture like in continental hotels and I like it . The windows are run down and the bathroom very old but at the end of the day the rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay and if they updated every it would reflect in the price . Breakfast was buffet and was lovely, the restaurant did get very hot but it was on a hot day so they could do with looking into that. So I am very happy overall and would recommend this hotel to other travellers needing a short stay ."

"Overall, a nice place - we'd stay again (we had two rooms). It's a good location for Blackweir Fields if you're happy to walk - takes about 30 mins with no agro. Room 3 is big & airy, room 5 more of a standard double room. There are good fans for warm nights, the beds are big & amazingly comfortable. The downside is that it's a bit tired and the bathrooms tend to smell of the drains but this didn't particularly impact our stay. And the chap who let us in was helpful."
