Tired hotel in need of a refurbishment

Posted 10-Nov-2015
Pros: Good location for Parkgate and walking.
Cons: Bathroom.
Location: Chester and liverpool both 20 my name away.
Room not bad but very far away from reception. Very very noisy room. Bathroom in need of cleaning and refurbishment. No mini bar.

Staff were great, showing us to our room and incredibly efficient. The spa was great and drinks in the hot tubs outside were perfect. Would definitely stay here again and recemmend highly.

Very helpful and friendly staff, lovely neighborhood, lovely room. You must patronize its Lawns Restaurant, the food is creative and most important of all, fresh and delicious, value for money.

Duvet too hot. Would be better having either a top sheet and light throw or a lighter duvet at this time of year.

Wish we'd been able to stay a bit longer and use the Spa but as it was we only used the room and the tea-making facilities. Room was very nice, swish bathroom, and comfy bed.

Nice location, good facilities in hotel but also 2 nice pubs within walking distance. Rooms very nice and staff very helpful. The local village is also worth a look

Disappointed

Posted 20-Aug-2015 on Hotels
Stayed at the hotel for a wedding with my husband and our little boy who's 5 months old. Stated on the booking that we would have the baby with us but were still given a first floor room which was a nightmare to get the pram up to as there were no lifts!! People with prams or disabilities be warned to specifically request a ground floor room. The hotel is a really odd lay out not at all what I was expecting. Room was nice enough but I rang before hand to request a fridge in the room and that wasn't there when we arrived. Finally we were looking forward to taking our little boy swimming (which was one of the reasons we booked the hotel) but was told that children have to be over 6 years to go in the pool. This was very disappointing.
