We stayed as going to a wedding reception nearby.

Posted 12-May-2017
Pros: Everything. No complaints.
Cons: Nothing to note.
Location: Country location. Near to Thornton Hall . 20 mins drive from Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet.
We booked this hotel by mistake as going to a wedding reception at nearby Thornton hall. What a mistake. This was a great find. The hotel is excellent and staff so friendly. The bar is in a lovely setting and the restaurant - the lawns - is one of the best I have eaten in the UK. The sunday lunch was really nice and the cheese board is massive - a big cheese trolley that you select 5 cheeses from. Will definitely go again - and may try the spa.

staff fabulous

Pros: Everything.
Cons: It needs to be stated on the website if a room does not have a shower.
Location: The LIverpool bus is right outside the hotel and only took about 40 minutes, right into the city center.
I brought my American boyfriend home to visit my parents in the Wirral two weeks ago. We chose this hotel primarily because of the spa/gym facility. Our stay was fantastic, primarily because the staff were, without exception, so lovely and friendly. I particularly want to mention Matt because he was so sweet and his smile made our day every day. The jacuzzi was great, both indoor and outdoor, and the hotel was lovely and quiet even though there were weddings going on both weekends we were there (we stayed for 10 days). Our first night was in a "character room" which I don't recommend since there was no shower. We moved to a different room, not in the main hotel, and it was gorgeous. We had a balcony with a view of the lawn and a lovely shower. The bed was huge (there was a smaller bed in the character room) and comfy. I cannot say a bad word about this hotel and I am extremely picky. We plan on staying there when we return to the Wirral next year.

Lovely hotel & Friendly Staff

Posted 11-Feb-2017
Pros: Easy parking and friendly staff,
Cons: Heating system.
Location: The Wirral is lovely and has a lot to offer and is close to Chester.
Lovely hotel and the staff are so friendly but my room was very cold and I had to ask for a heater as the radiator wasn't working too well.

The day I checked in was my birthday. It was perfect & romantic in the countryside. There was a lovely little pub that served food within easy walking distance called the seven stars .
