Ramada Southport

Posted 08-Feb-2016
The hotel was very nice and staff were excellent. Unfortunately due to there being a party function on we were placed in an access able room which are next to the lifts. We were woken up throughout the night by people from the function coming back to their rooms shouting and laughing until about 4am. This was very bad placement from the hotel of someone not attending the event. Meaning we had zero sleep and the quiet nights break was somewhat ruined.

Lovely for a weekend away

Posted 04-Jan-2016
Location: Train to Liverpool-good day in Liverpool. Also a drive down the cost to see the Antony Gormley - Another Place.
We wanted a weekend away and this hotel fit our requirements. Booked room only, and had breakfast in town. Ate in the resturant one night - very nice. Will come back for another stay.

Nice location with good views

Posted 01-Jan-2016
Pros: Very good location. Good Views and warm in winter. Clean.
Cons: There should be a choice of pillows. Four-star hotels should offer down and feather bedding. The cushions and pillows were rather thin and pathetic.
Stayed over Christmas which we were spending with family nearby. Stayed in twin bedded double room supposedly sleeping four but was just large enough for two which was ok since there were just two of us. The room was very clean but stuffy. Opening the window made it too cold. It was convenient to have onsite parking but it was served by only one lift which, given the number of guests with mobility scooters and wheelchairs, made it slow going.

Convenient and spotless but....

Posted 31-Dec-2015
Pros: Clean room with all the facilities I needed in the room
Cons: Room service - see above
Location: N/A
I enjoyed my stay at the Ramada. It had everything I needed as a single person visiting a care home each day. The room was spotless and newly appointed I only have 1 criticism: the Coronation Chicken sandwich I had on Christmas evening via room service was very poor - completely lacking flavour and the bread stale. I paid £10 for it and whilst I accept the additional cost of room service, it did no favours to your kitchen staff and I would probably hesitiate to eat at the Ramada if i ever visited again.

Lovely hotel

Rally nice hotel but the only gripe was the cost of breakfast, which at over £14 each was ridiculous
