Always our choice...

Posted 06-Oct-2017
Since staying here while a family member was in the hospital nearby and receiving such good service, we always stay here when in Syracuse. Rooms are super clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly. It is handy that there is a Tully's right next door and access to Rt. 81 is so easy.

Never again

Posted 03-Oct-2017
We would never stay here again. When we checked in a couple was hanging around in the lobby. Apparently their room was broken into and they were robbed. We found this very strange as no police ever arrived at the hotel. The front desk attendant said my credit card # on file wasn't the same as my card. This makes me nervous considering the room was paid prior to our arrival. Rooms were very dated and smelled bad. Our friends room was so bad they requested to move. Their new room had an old razor in the shower and a shirt hanging on the door. The breakfast was not the best. Didn't see anyone check on the breakfast once while we were there.

OK Hotel

Posted 29-Sep-2017
There was no TV remote, no desk chair, and the hotel phone was disconnected-no wire going to a phone jack.

Horrible hotel the worst unless you smoke, GROSS!

Posted 28-Sep-2017
Pros: Checking out.
Cons: Take a half dozen sticks of dynamite, clear the place out and have at it.
Location: Carrier Dome is sorta close 10 minutes or so by Uber. decent restaurant right next door, and a Dunkin Donuts 1 minute walk, which was great.
For starters, this review is tame compared to how it would have sounded had I written it either while I was still there, or soon after...... I have taken several days to see if I would feel less incensed...... It didn't work, I'm as disgusted today as I was last Sunday. OK, in fairness, all of the other hotels in the Syracuse area were booked because Sir Paul McCartney was in town. So we were kind of stuck with this place. Walk in the front door of the hotel, and you smell it immediately. The place reeks of smoke from top to bottom. Clearly they are either still renting smoking rooms, or they never cleaned the place from the time they did. The room is yellow. (Smoke yellow), and it absolutely stinks. We stayed only the one night, and when I got up in the morning, I did something I would NEVER do with a 6 hour drive in front of me. I washed up, and did NOT shower, we packed as quickly as we could and got out of there. The room had debris on the floor (how does this happen, are the floors not vacuumed ever?). I know you have to control your expectations when staying away from home, but we travel all the time, and I have never been so disgusted. In addition, the woman behind the desk was shilling for a cab company that overcharged us, even though we car pooled with another couple we met at the hotel. Same guy was supposed to pick us up at a designated place after the concert. He answered, never showed up and then stopped picking up the phone. Why recommend them?

Not in a million years

This was one if the worst hotel experiences for my wife and I. Carpets haven't been cleaned since the 70s, furniture in the room is from Gran Ma's attic. The non-smoking room we had might as well have been an ash tray (informed the receptionist, she had her own interesting theories that had nothing to do with a resolution). Did not even bother eating the breakfast, just the smell was hideous. Most of the hotels in town were booked so we were pretty much forced to spend a night in this delightful establishment...For the love of all things precious and heavenly, please stay far away from this hotel. There is no way these guys should be charging $120 - 130 for this dump...you're better off staying the night in a homeless shelter.

First off the hotel didn't have the room we booked, waited 20 mins and finally got a key to a room, when we got in the room one of the plastic cups was out of the rapper, no bath towels in the room, and dark smudges on the floor that I wiped up, room smelled of cigarette smoke and was a non smoking room.
