Staff were lovely

Posted 05-Apr-2017
Pros: Staff - most hotels are very similar now, but the staff here were without exception lovely.
Cons: Fix the lift - but guess that's already happened
Location: Great location. Straight across the road from Lime St Station and then walkable to all the main attractions
Stayed one night. Staff were all lovely. Room was very pleasant and clean and had great views. Breakfast was excellent; lots of choice and again the staff were very attentive.. Unfortunately one of the lifts had broken down which meant waiting to go up and down, but this happens to everyone from time to time - so doesn't reflect on the hotel.

Holiday Inn Liverpool City Centre.

Posted 04-Apr-2017
Pros: All the staff were professional but friendly with it and were very helpful. Breakfast was good. Rooms clean and comfy.
Location: Good location for accessing City centre. A couple of Weatherspoons in the area. Good shopping centre.
Just stayed one night to see a concert at The Green Room, which wasn't far from the hotel. The hotel was just next to the station and within walking distance of the city centre.

nice hotel near station and city highlights

Posted 20-Mar-2017
Location: Able to walk to all the sites and museums and artgalleries
No need to give clean towels every day, we hung them up so they wouldn't have to waste energy and detergent but still got fresh ones.

Extremely helpful, friendly staff,

Posted 08-Mar-2017
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Improve the range of beers in the bar,
great hotel, perfectly situated for sightseeing, shopping and nightlife. Lime Street Train Station only 100 yards away, and convenient parking next to the hotel. Very helpful staff on the front desk, especially Rodrigo, good breakfast sets you up for the day ahead. Very pleasant rooms, comfortable beds giving a good nights' sleep. Cannot fault the hotel at all.

Handily placed hotel

Posted 22-Feb-2017
We stayed at the Holiday Inn for 3 nights , because of its proximity to Liverpool Lime Street rail station , we travelled by train , the walk to the hotel from the rail concourse only took a couple of minutes . The hotel itself is welcoming , the room is comfortable and the bathroom well stocked . There was an iron and board in the wardrobe , a hairdryer in the drawer and a kettle with tea/coffee . We did have a slight problem with the room temperature but the staff were able to repair the control the following morning and have us a fan to keep cool even though this was in February . We didn't eat at the hotel , there is a Sainsbury express next door if you need essentials . We used a Wetherspoons just around the corner for breakfast which is cheaper , the reason I did this is that although the Holiday Inn breakfast is all you can eat , it encourages me to overeat as my will power is not as strong as it should be. The hotel is handy for Liverpool central rail station as well as Lime Street , we took a train from central to Blundellsands to view Antony Gormleys statues on the beach , we also carried on to Southport to visit . Albert Dock and Pierhead are only 10 minutes walk away , I am disabled but found this distance no problem . There are many stores en route and the Cavern Quarter where the Beatles story started is worth a visit by any fans . I recommend this hotel , we really enjoyed our stay although we were out most of the time this is a great base .
