Noise

Only bad thing I have to say was the noise on level 4 rooms 406 etc sounds like windows are open because for the industrial extraction at the back near the car park. If you need complete silence to sleep this isn't ideal

Perfectly positioned hotel

Location: Everything within a 20 minute walk. Shops nearby and station opposite!
Spent 3 days at this perfectly positioned hotel, opposite Lime Street station, near museums, next to the shops and a stroll to the docks and Cathedral. Nothing was more than 20 minutes walk away! Rooms spacious and very comfortable. Great views! Staff were very attentive and were quick to resolve an incident in a professional manner. Definitely return on next visit to Liverpool

A great hotel in the heart of the city

Pros: This was our second visit this year to the holiday inn Liverpool and we weren't disappointed. The hotel is in a great location, right across the road from Liverpool Lime Street station. All of the staff are very friendly, helpful and are full of conversation. You don't get this in most hotels. The quality and choice of items at breakfast is outstanding as is the view from the restaurant. The rooms and public areas are spotlessly clean. We had a room on the 8th floor. I would highly recommend a room on a higher floor as the views over the city are fantastic. We even ate dinner at the restaurant twice and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Fresh, tasty and great value for money. Will definitely go back.
Cons: We liked everything. Just a pity that we had to come home.
Location: This hotel is right opposite the train station. It is also within walking distance of the main shopping area, the Albert Dock and all of the museums.

Great situation for sightseeing

Pros: Nothing to dislike.
Cons: Room temperature.
Location: Right opposite Lime Street Station. 15 mins walk from Albert Dock. Lots of shops, within walking distance of museums and cathedrals.
Right opposite Lime Street Station. 15 min walk to Albert Dock. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel clean, comfortable. Only downside is you can't control the temperature in your room - you have to ask reception. Will stay there again.

Location: Das Hotel befindet sich direkt gegenüber der Zugstation. Man kann von dort aus alles erreichen.
Leider hatte ich keine Steckdose im Schlafzimmer und die Anschlüsse waren auch verschieden.

Convenient and clean but poor customer care

Having stayed here on several occasions, I was shocked at how standards had dropped. The place is clean but customer service is no longer at the heart of your stay and in the past it was one of the things which made me return. At breakfaSt staff took a long time to realise I was there and get me srated. The first room I was in the window wouldn't close and the wind was blowing a gale . So tried to put the aircon on, but it would only blow cold. Maintenance took forever to come, couldn't fix either thing . So I had to repack and eventually move. The aircon in this room didn't work either ! So they had to bring a heater. .. I witnessed reception staff discussing customers in a very unfavourable and unprofessional manner and also overheard customers being spoken to in a very patronising and j helpful manner. I am not sure what has happened but this is no longer the customer friendly hotel it used to be and customer service is not anywhere near the standard it used to be only months ago :-(
