Clean, Friendly nicely Situated

Posted 19-Jul-2017
Extremely friendly staff. Room was spotless. View of river was lovely. Bathroom is tiny but we didn't need more. We are active and walk everywhere, the Dolby is nicely situated 15min from Pier Head, just down the hill from Cathedral and Hope St.

Handy but basic

Posted 14-Jul-2017
Staff nice but not enough on duty so was kept waiting at Reception. Room far too small for 2. Prefabricated tiny shower unit with sink and loo - couldn't swing a cat - couldn't shower without soaking everywhere - had to step up into this minute "bathroom" so kept tripping up. Had keep window open as so warm so was kept awake with traffic noise. Nowhere store luggage - had to leave cases end bed making even less room. Impossible for 2 to get ready at same time. Had to take turns. Would never use this hotel again :-(

Central, clean and excellent value

Posted 01-Jul-2017
Pros: Parking is free. All the main attractions are within easy walking distance. You don't even need a map, you can already see them.
Location: There is a watersports centre and marina nearby. Next to riverside walkway. Close to fast food outlets and a casino.
We stayed for three nights in a triple room. Our son loved the bunk bed. The room was very clean with daily housekeeping. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom are small but the views onto the river are nice. There is also an outside area with wooden furniture where you can sit and relax. This hotel is excellent value for such a great location. We had a great stay and would undoubtedly use this hotel again.

Pros: Almost everthing
Cons: Maybe the room could have been slightly larger , but its already built so thats not going to happen.
Location: Loads of entertainment, shops. And I do believe the airport is not too far away. Never a dull moment in liverpool.
I was pleased with the location. (Acess to shops.bars.resturants. all heritage types pleaces of interest)our view from room pleasing. Late night taxis to the hotel very reasonable. Plenty of parking spaces. As you can tell I was happy it was the weather that was dissapointing but no one can sort that unfortunatley....thank you to all the staff. Happy , helpful, nothing too much trouble.

Convenient for the docks

Posted 28-Jun-2017
Staff were cheerful and very helpful. Room was small but the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was tiny! Food was pub-type but good. It is an ideal stopping off place to catch a ferry the following day.

Good little hotel. Five minutes walk from the ACC.

Quick efficient check in. Front desk manned all night. Comfortable clean room. Very small shower but perfectly adequate. Tea making facilities but no teabags. Working TV and easy free internet access. And shower cap supplied - hooray! Better service and attention than some very fancy hotels I have stayed at. Didn't have breakfast but noticed a pleasant breakfast area overlooking the water. Great for price. Well done, Dolby.

Good location, clean and good value for money, especially with free parking compared to other hotels nearby. Two biggest faults are the small room size and en-suite. Web-site says all rooms have wardrobes but a six inch rail sticking out of the wall above the bedside unit is not a wardrobe. En-suite is so small and cramped you can only sit on the loo sideways. Cabins and en-suites on cruise ships are bigger than this.
