Good little hotel. Five minutes walk from the ACC.

Quick efficient check in. Front desk manned all night. Comfortable clean room. Very small shower but perfectly adequate. Tea making facilities but no teabags. Working TV and easy free internet access. And shower cap supplied - hooray! Better service and attention than some very fancy hotels I have stayed at. Didn't have breakfast but noticed a pleasant breakfast area overlooking the water. Great for price. Well done, Dolby.

Disappointing hotel

Posted 06-Apr-2017
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Ensuring the entrance is not used by smokers late night/early hours. Room size and facilities unlikely to be addressed nor is the lack of lift.
Location: Built on the Queens dock site, but unfortunately adjacent to a main road which is busy day/night. Adjacent site undeveloped and an eyesore.
Booked in for 2 nights only stayed one - even though on the 3rd floor was kept awake by guests outside front door smoking, arguing loudly and noisy. Closing window made room too warm. Also regular helicopter flights, constant traffic, ambulance/police car Syren's all aggregated discomfort. The restaurant was clean but quality of food more akin to a fast food service. As mentioned we cut short our stay leaving a day early.

Quiet little hotel 5mins from city centre

Posted 07-Mar-2017
Always a pleasure staying here, everything I could ask for. pleasant and helpful staff always happy to help. If it's quiet drink with an excellent meal you enjoy, I'd definitely recommend the dolby. Keep up the good work folks, see you in the near future.

Room is really small

Posted 03-Mar-2017
Cons: The price, the smell, the food, ect.
The room is really small, the food is overpriced, and overall not the best hotel in Liverpool.

Does everything it needs to!

Handy location for the city centre and free parking without breaking the bank! While there's nothing flash about the hotel there's certainly nothing wrong with what they offer. Staff are friendly, there's a restaurant and bar, rooms have everything you need. Ok the bathroom "pods" are compact but I'm far from petite and had no issues.

Great place

This hotel was awesome. Nice location, great breakfast and coffee. Very helpful staff who booked me a cab and also gave great walking suggestions and travel tips. TV in the room, wifi worked great and I was as far down the hall from reception as possible. The shower was tiny, but wasnt an issue for me, but i'm not a tall person. Id definitely go back.

Friendly and helpful staff. Pleasant room. Two negatives, really hard wooden chairs in dining area and bedroom. No desk light for anyone needing to do some work in their room.
