Settle in for a refreshing weekend away; stroll on the private beaches, try your luck fishing, or sip on a glass or two of our award-winning wine. It’s the perfect base to explore Tasmania's scenic East Coast, such as Coles Bay and Freycinet National Park (1hr drive) and Maria Island ferry (25 min drive). Head to @lisdillon\_estate for more. The Gregan Retreat is just that—a weatherboard retreat situated on the historic Lisdillon estate, overlooking the vineyard and river. Imagine yourself in the mornings, opening the double doors from the bedroom to the spacious deck as you gaze over the native lands and sheep farm. Once you’ve taken in the surrounding views, stroll for a brief few minutes to the nearby beaches and Lisdillon’s 5km private coastline, take a dip in the ocean and breathe in the fresh air. Expansive views of the estate Wherever you look, there’s a different part of the landscape to take in. Eagles soaring, river flowing, or waves hitting the secluded shores. Deck with double door access Open the double doors to a large deck overlooking the estate, perfect for lounging on the day bed with a glass of sauvignon blanc in hand. Make yourself at home in the bedroom featuring views of the Lisdillon estate and a queen bed waiting for you to jump in. Open-plan dining & living Choose from a selection of CDs to listen to while you cook or read, snuggled up beside the fire. Kitchen Everything you need for your morning coffee and tea, or to cook up a storm with local ingredients you can pick up on a drive to Coles Bay. Bathroom Featuring a spacious shower and a range of products available for you to use. Private beach Lisdillon Estate is one of the few lucky places in the world that has its very own private beach. Lisdillon's property extends to low tide mark so its boundaries grow bigger and smaller every second! Even though it is private and most of the time there won't be another person in sight you will occasionally come across other guests and people who rent shacks on the farm. Private river Take a moment to breathe and unwind on a quick stroll to the nearby river. Lisdillon Wine Taste and/or buy a bottle of Lisdillon's award winning Pinot Noir and Sav Blanc. Order once checked in and have it delivered to your door. A fisherman’s haven Trot down to the seafront of the Lisdillon Estate or rivulet and enjoy all the aquatic life on offer. We ask that all fish caught in the river and estuary are on a strictly catch and release basis (unless you are going to eat them) in order to preserve the environment of the river and estuary. Please only use lures, not bait hooks. The sea out the front of our property offers bay flathead, salmon, squid, cod, crayfish, and so much more. In the Lisdillon Rivulet, you’ll also find bream, oysters, brown trout, native galaxia and many other creatures. Guest access \- Private river with plenty of fish to catch (and release) \- Private beaches (while the 5km coastline is owned by the Lisdillon Estate, you may see a few other guests from time to time) \- If you have a boat you can take it out to sea in front of our property Other things to note Heating and fireplace: There is a fireplace but as we provide a heater too we don't supply firewood. There will be a 20kg bag of wood in the cottage that guests can purchase when they arrive. The wood is supplied by a business run by four little kids. Water consumption: We switch between the river and tank water, although both are filtered and safe to drink, some people still prefer to bring their own. You are welcome to use the kitchen and cooking supplies (we will provide a more detailed list after booking).
