Dear Alborz,We enjoyed having yourself and Erika at Little Arches and are disappointed to read your brief review. The whistling frogs (tiny tree frogs) are a fact of life here in Barbados and are an island-wide chorus, not really a Little Arches-specific feature. We’d have suggested using a white noise app on the Bluetooth speakers we provide in the rooms if we’d known they were bothering you. This is a very, very uncommon complaint and we are sorry to see it but certain things in the Caribbean are just very different to how they are in Canada and elsewhere.Indeed, we are not close to the West coast beaches, where we believe you travelled to, but Enterprise Beach (aka Miami Beach), one of the most beautiful and unspoiled beaches on the island, is right on our doorstep and only a 2/3 minute stroll from any room. Complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas are available daily and are carried down to Enterprise Beach by one of our team members. This service is between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm. Many, many other fabulous South coast beaches are only a few minutes away and we are delighted to offer a free shuttle to some of these beaches in our Little Blue Beach Bus which you indeed availed of. In short, we don’t really understand your comment that we are far from the beach unless you’re referencing the West coast in which case we may have simply been the wrong fit for you had you preferred to stay on the West coast for your time in Barbados.We hope that you’ll visit Barbados again and enjoy wherever you choose to stay and that it fits your needs. We acknowledge that not every hotel is for every guest, and though disappointing for us , we do hope Barbados remains at the top of your list of countries places to visit.

We are so very sorry to read that you did not fully enjoy your time here with us.We always receive such wonderful reviews from our guests who appreciate not only the beautiful views and laid-back island lifestyle but the wonderful friendly service provided by our team. Our aim is always to make each and every guest a part of our extended family and not just a number in a big resort.As we are a smaller hotel, that was a home previously, we are unfortunately unable to offer entertainment, activities or a variety of dining options on site as the bigger all-inclusive resorts. Our rooftop restaurant, Café Luna, has a Summer Three Course Menu for Bds99.00 currently which we feel is excellent value when compared to other fine dining establishments on island and this menu has been receiving many positive reviews. One of the advantages, we think, to not being committed to an all-inclusive for all your meals, is being able to get out and explore other local dining options and, as have you pointed out, the town of Oistins is only a short walk from Little Arches should you desire a selection of local bars, stalls and cheaper street eats. We sincerely apologize if your room wasn’t always quiet. Please rest assured that we have been actively looking into options for rehoming the wild rooster that has taken up residence out behind the hotel. The melodic chirping sound heard mainly at night or when the rain falls is actually small whistling frogs and you’ll hear these across the island from sun down. Once again, we are truly sorry that the boutique hotel experience is not for you but we were not made aware that we did not meet your expectations. Had we known when you were in house, we would have been happy to work with you and Expedia so that you could enjoy your preferred all-inclusive experience.
