This is a Ritz Carlton property - well managed and cared for.
Each staff member made an effort to make us feel welcome and cared for. Mariana, at the front desk, was especially wonderful and accommodating. She made our stay most special. We even stayed a second night, even though we had a paid-for hotel in Lisboa!
Breakfast buffet was great. Dining options in hotel are expensive, but again - staff made the experience worth it (thank you Midori!)

Stayed for business for two nights. Nice and close to the airport - easy transport links. Staff were excellent and as my Portuguese is non-existent, appreciated their English language skills! Most of the hotel feels up-to-date, except perhaps the rattle-prone elevators, which felt like they were from a by-gone age with ash trays built into them! Minor point however. Used room service for food at around 10.30pm the evening I arrived - very good, very prompt. Small negatives - the TV had plenty of channels but the picture quality was poor - not exactly the digital age - it felt like a dated experience. The renovations I only noticed the second night - having returned to the hotel at around 6.30pm, once in my room it felt like a pneumatic drill was shaking the place. Fortunately, it had finished by 7pm but I was glad I was out for the whole day. There was a standard apology letter in the room but must admit, I didn't know about the renovations before I booked - probably because I didn't read everything on Expedia. As long as you're out during the day, it's not a problem. Restaurant was fine, food was decent (had dinner and breakfast) and not overpriced really. Overall, the hotel was a solid 80% and at least they've recognised some parts needed updating so can't really complain too much about the renovation work. I guess it's off-season for tourists. Lobby area they've clearly already done - it's well up-to-date and modern with a nice bar, large HD TV etc.
