A Basic Stay
Chose to stay here because stayed before and it met our needs. Really does need a lift and a little dated. Staff helpful and friendly, and they do try. Breakfast finishes at 9am which is a bit early for most breaks. A good base for a basic stay.

Don’t stay here
This Place was dirty and run down. Webs all over the ceiling and windows. A lot of webs. Hairs in the sink and bathroom floor. I had breakfast booked but I could not bring myself to eat here. Room 105 is at the rear of property. Humming noise all night - not a good nite.

Friendly enough hotel and a different experience. No lift and stairs a bit narrow. Great that breakfast is served to you unlike most chains. Fairly close to seafront and centre.

i found the shower door to be very dirty at the bottom . The hotel has parking at the rear but if all the bays are full then you have to find parking in the streets if there is any space.

I only came here as a last minute to try and finish some work off and it was absolutely lovely. The place was clean, the breakfast was nice, all the staff were lovely and friendly. Everything is within walking distance away from the hotel and there are so many food options around to either eat out or have as a takeaway. I will certainly be coming back again!

A truly fabulous hotel very close to everything!
Really fabulous hotel in a very convenient location close to all the action. The room we stayed in was very comfortable, clean and quiet. We both slept very well as the beds were really lovely. The hotel is less than a 5 minute walk from all the shops in Cleethorpes and the other way the beach front. Brilliant free parking at the back of the property. The reception staff let us park the car there after we checked out, which was very kind of them! All of the staff were very friendly, polite, chatty and helpful. The breakfast was superb. We literally couldn’t fault it. Best sausages ever. Thanks so much Dovedale Hotel for an amazing stay. We will definitely be back!! 😊👍

Terrible room pillows need throwing out drawer dropped to pieces no biscuits or toiletries water scalding hot darn't use the shower freezing room no heating even though it was february had to get under bed covers till room warmed would avoid this hotel left at 8 the next morning couldnt wait to get home

Nice sky tv but nothing special
Nice present hotel on the front of Cleethorpes. Adjacent rooms quite noisy and also noise from breakfast area directly below. Spa sounded like an old tractor compared to new bath spas so no way to relax in it. Room had large tv with sky which was a bonus.

Nice break
We only stayed one night in a standard double room. It was clean and comfortable and had everything you needed, hairdryer, iron/board storage. Tea/coffee TV. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The small bar area was lovely. Lots of lamps, jewellery by local artists for sale, not sure if this is a good or a bad thing. The staff were so welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. Katie on the front desk went out of her way to help us re parking and answering our questions re area. If I was to be picky it’s the regular breakfast @ £7.50 child’s portion, mushrooms cut small and thin almost translucent and poached egg hard. That said we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Two nights in balcony room early August
Staff were lovely and so was our room ( we had a balcony room) . However, the hotel needs some TLC. Carpets on the stairs and bedrooms need updating , our carpet and curtains had cigarette burns . Mattress and pillows were lumpy and really need replacing urgently. If the hotel are going to charge £140 per night it’s needs to be much better presented.This said , Loved the whirlpool bath and the balcony and would return if refurbished, as enjoyed the stay overall.

Lovely hotel The beach could do with more dog friendly zones. The two ends of beach was too far and not great . I feel more dog friendly parts would encourage more dog owners to cleethorpes

We had a great last minuite stay at the Dovedale Hotel. The hotel looked really nice in their promotional pics but even better in real life. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The place was immaculate. If I had to say a negative it would be about our bathroom which was a little dated with nowhere for toiletries. We will definatly stay there again if going to Cleethorpes.

Warm welcome / lovely team. Recommended!
We visited this really well located hotel (two mins from the promenade) this weekend just gone. Everything was great including the room, but the real stars were the team running the place. We arrived at around 9pm and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Everything was in order with our room and well organised despite our late arrival. Breakfast was super tasty, and check-in / check-out was super quick and easy. Even our pooch felt welcome! What’s not to like… Will definitely stay again on our next visit.
