Terrible condition - old and dirty, probably a 1-2 star hotel. Lost 4 nights money and left early because I couldn’t stay in the filth another day. Horrible experience - don’t stay here!

Overcharging a tired traveler
Faringitis estreptocócica I need a hat but I need it to speak to me. In a past life, something bad happened in France and that’s why I don’t feel comfortable there. I stayed a total of three nights at Hotel San Blas - once on my own and twice booked by my tour. I arrived at 7:30 from an overnight flight. They told me if I wanted to check in early I would have had to pay 50 dollars. I was so exhausted that I just did it. However, when I recovered from my delirium I realized they charged me the same amount as Hotels.com did for one night! For a $50/night hotel it was okay but for a $100/night hotel it was cold and very noisy with a mediocre breakfast. They do a lot of business with G Adventures and I wish they wouldn’t have taken advantage of the situation since clearly the room wasn’t being used.

Nice place. 1. Adequate breakfast 2. Nice staff and very helpful. 3.Older hotel. 4. The water in the shower could have been hotter. A little overpriced in my opinion, but overall, not a bad place to stay. The hotels in Lima seem expensive compared to other Latin American cities I have visited.

Good stopover
We stayed here 2 nights as we had to join a G adventures group. The room was spacious and clean. There is a bit of noise from the hallway as people come and go but just ask for a quite room. Even our meal in the restaurant was really good.

We arrived late at night. The night staff did not speak any english. Our bathtub leaked the entire time and aside for offering more towels no other solutions were offered. Daytime staff were lacklustre and largely enthusiastic. Our window did not lock. Outside location there is nothing else I would really recommend.

Couldn't have asked for better,
The hotel was great. Check in was at 1pm but I called in advance to see if I could leave my bags at counter at 10am and come back, explore and check back in at 1pm. They were generous enough to allow me to check in at 10AM. Wonderful. Breakfast was great! I had issues with Wi fi but not a big problem since connection was good everywhere but my room it seems. Very Happy. Called a reliable, clean $50 sol taxi direct to airport on my final day VS the $75 that a street taxi would have taken. MIL GRACIAS

Really good option
This hotel had almost everything you could want; clean rooms, comfortable beds, user-friendly free wifi, courteous and responsive staff, substantial and tasty breakfast with hot and cold options and a small area to dine with good food and wine in the evening. The location was within walking distance to a quaint Peruvian shopping market and the bars and restaurants of Miraflores and the area is safe to walk at night. The only downside is that Lima is a noisy and busy town and traffic is clearly audible from any room at the front of the hotel. I thought this would be an insurmountable problem at first but it never bothered me in the end and I slept well every night probably because the bed was so comfortable. I would stay here again.

Nice hotel
Excellent low-cost hotel, very helpful staff, spacious rooms, good wifi, excellent for business trips. The only problem was traffic noise at night, which ear-plugs helped and/or I got used to. Others reported similar problems from other hotels so not unique to San Blas.

Volvería y lo recomiendo
Excelente atención ya q las habitaciones asignadas inicialmente no tenían escritorio ni espacio para sillas nos fueron cambiadas. Una felicitación especial al restaurante y salones de eventos.

Mala administración
El sitio es bueno y bien ubicado, pero el servicio de cobro y administración es muy malo, no se ponen de acuerdo en los cobros y la administración, y se me realizo el cobro cuando mi reserva ya estaba pagada. Aún cuando mostre el comprobante. Y su argumento es que las reservas los fines de semana no se pueden comprobar, dado que la persona encargada no trabaja los fines de seman, increíble para un hotel
