very convenient being close to the rail station. However, we did find the air in the room not that great and the heating in the room did not work to great. I also wish they did have a coffee machine in the room for coffees and teas as we arrived at 2 am and all the coffee shops were closed at that time. I believe if you need a place for a night or two to rest between trips, its a good hotel.
However, if you need somewhere to get spend a nice vacation in lille (which btw is a beautiful city) perhaps there are better options out there.

A group of 6 of us went to Lille for our Christmas Lunch and spend 2 nights in the Citadines hotel, they are fantastic studio like rooms, very comfortable and clean. We were on floor 11 though the elevators are slow and busy the views were gorgeous. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was spotless on our arrival.
What was strange is during our stay no one has actually come to do the morning cleaning and change of towels you would usually expect from a hotel but these are self contained studios so I guess it is different.
I didn't enquire as we were there only 2 nights.
All in all great hotel!
We needed somewhere that was close to the train station but also wanted to be able to have some fun and explore the city. This hotel was perfect. Train station is across the road at the end of the street and the walking/shopping streets just a 1 minute walk away. The room was spacious and completely silent. Very restful.
Our stay in Lille was significantly comfortable because of this hotel. It's close to Lille Europe and Lille Flanders stations which was a major consideration since we traveled to London and Paris. It's also a short walk to the Grand Place. The staff was very accommodating, cheerful and respectful. Our room was adequate in size for 3 people with big pieces of luggage. The temperature in the room was cool and not stuffy. I would have rated this hotel a perfect 5 were it not for the following: 1) the toilet had no hand-held bidet sprayer; 2) the shower room had no soap dish; 3) no bedroom slippers; 4) the coffee machine did not work; 5) only one small bottled water for 3 guests; 6) very limited choices for breakfast; and 7) very few English-speaking staff. These, however, were minor inconveniences that did not adversely affect our stay. We will definitely go back to this hotel.
We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights at the beginning of September this year. Hotel is perfectly situated for Menin gate and town square.
Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are excellent. Plenty of restaurants nearby and chocolate shops. A very enjoyable stay.
This was a marvellious and reasonably priced hotel for me to visit and experience the beautiful town of Lille. Totally convenient for shopping and public transport. The staff was brilliant. My only problem was connecting to the internet. This was too confusing and should have been simple as the log on criteria kept on changing. As I am not too young hand rails in the bathroom would be welcomed. Otherwise great.
The hotel is perfectly acceptable for what it is, a cheap stay where the hotel isn't the thing. Everything is adequate: tissues in the bathroom might have been nice, as might a bit more space. The shower head also had had a bit of its normal mounting snap off: not ideal but unimportant. If there's one thing to quibble it's the location, which, being on foot was a bit unpleasant in the final approach to the east of Where It's At.
Breakfast is fine as is service at the desk. Everything manages to be satisfactory without anything standing out as really good or bad.
