Good hotel in central location. Expensive breakfast at additional cost for what you got and thought hotel could have got a discount on parking. Rooom thermostat in one room not working so too hot.

Staff welcoming and very friendly. Excellent location and good parking nearby. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. Breakfast ok and plentiful but a little expensive I feel. Would happily stay again.

Used to love staying here, this was my first stay since the hotel was ‘refurbished ‘. The new room design is dreadful. There’s no seperate bathroom , the toilet and shower open directly into the bedroom and the washbasin is right next to the bed. The shower cubicle ( which as I mentioned opens directly into the bedroom ) has a panel with a one way mirror. This means that the person who is having a shower can see their own reflection but whoever is sharing the room with you can such sit there and watch you showering - bizarre to be honest. The panel to control the heating in the room was dead, I did report it as indeed I also reported that the coffee machine wouldn't switch on either. The hotel no longer serves dinner, whoever is on reception has to run over to the bar if you want to drink. The majority of the seating in the dining area consists of tall stools and high tables , not really how I would choose to eat my breakfast. The staff are lovely but the newly designed interior is a disaster. I understand that NOVOTEL are no longer responsible for the car park under the hotel but it’s worth mentioning that if you do use it it’s eye wateringly expensive. Sad to report that after using the NOVOTEL in Ypres pretty much every Christmas for the last 18 years I’ll almost certainly be looking for an alternative hotel next year . Sad really.

If you mention this the moment you make the reservation we will make sure you get this type of room. Most people like the design rooms and interior, but I understand this is something completely subjective. Perfect base
Great location and very stylish and spacious rooms. Big comfortable bed, nespresso machine, sofa and even BBC 1 on the TV! Also dog friendly.Ypres is a great place to stay and only one hour from the Channel tunnel.

Weekend break
The hotel was lovely and in a really good position near to the centre. Parking was excellent in the underground carpark and then lift to the hotel. We also had a lovely meal in captain cooks at the end of the road. Break fast was also really good value. Only small criticism was the hotel bar was very limited. Definitely recommend

Really nice clean and tidy hotel. Extremely close and convenient to the centre of town. The hotel was modern and the staff friendly. Parking, cost not included, was safe, secure and a lift took you directly to the hotel. Did not have breakfast as we felt the cost was rather dear.

Overpriced for what it was, no secure parking. Air conditioning not working in the room, had to keep the window open and listen to the noise all night. When we spoke to reception, we were told that it had been turned off because people had been complaining that it was too cold in the room, weren't offered a solution - had to ask for a fan.

Lovely room. Very clean and comfortable. We did not have the breakfast as we felt it was too expensive. Had a lovely breakfast in a cafe which was in the square. Hotel was in a perfect location to visit Ypres. Very close to the Menin Gate. Parking was easy and just cost 2 euros.

Decent for the price. very convenient location.
Absolutely fine for the price - just what you would expect from a standard chain hotel. Very convenient city centre location. 5 mins walk to either the main square or the Menin Gate. Easy street parking nearby, but there is an expensive ( third party) underground carpark under the hotel. The corridors were too hot - but the room temp could be adjusted easily. The room was in very good decorative condition and beds were comfortable. We avoided the very expensive breakfast buffet deal ( ? 25 euro pp.) There are several decent cafes for a cheaper breakfast within 5 minutes walk

Had stayed here before so knew what to expect. Excellent location for break a journey from the UK deeper into continental Europe. Good choice of venues to eat and drink nearby, not forgetting the Memin Gate mmemorial every night at 20:00.

The hotel is an a fantastic location, a couple of minutes walk from the Menin Gate and town centre. There is a carpark close by run by a company called Indego Neo, the hotel lift goes down to this car park so very convenient, if not a bit pricy. Staff were helpful and polite. I would highly recommend this hotel, but their cancellation policy is rigid and uncompromising. So be cautious

We try to avoid these situations at all times, but unfortunately sometimes miscommunication happens between housekeeping and reception. I hope the question was quickly resolved with giving you a new room.Again, my apologies, the bar was indeed exceptionally closed due to illness of staff. I spoke to the receptionist on duty that day. She was not aware she came over rude. She was busy with fixing a problem for another guest and was therefore not in the right mind set. She will work on this. She helped you out further in the evening for you to enjoy a drink at the bar. Again, apologies for these matters and we will do our best to be of better service in the future.kind regards

It was suitably linked with the history of Ypres in its decor. Very clean and nice facilities and great location too easily experience all of Ypres history. The hotel was welcoming and very clean, one small negative was we did not like the paper cups for our coffee in the room as when you had used once there was no other clean cups. Breakfast is way over priced.
