This hotel is rundown and in need of maintenance and updating. In addition, the customer service is very poor. There was a question regarding our reservation that was made through a 3rd party site and instead of handling it with professionalism, Elias from the hotel was rude and condescending and acted as if we were trying to get out of paying while we were only trying to get clarity on the discrepancy. We have never experienced that type of treatment at a hotel and were appalled they would treat a guest in that way. The best feature about the property was the location, but we would highly recommend that you look elsewhere. Chamonix is charming, but this hotel is NOT.

I stayed in one of the top floor rooms this time, and didn’t know the window opened at first- it was late summer and hot in town! After opening the window, it was much cooler. The local businesses got deliveries in the morning, but that’s all a part of being so close to the main strip! Love the location and don’t plan to stay anywhere else in Chamonix. Absolutely adore the patio also, my wife and I got some meats, cheeses, wine and a baguette to have a picnic dinner one night. Lovely.

Issues with cleanliness which was not resolved, also this property should never be considered by anyone with disability or seniors with mobility issues due to tight steep stairwells . It’s charming and could be better if a bit more care was put into turning over rooms properly.

Beautiful setting in the centre of Chamonix, surrounded by the mountains. There was a spa / hot tub which was nice. The room was small and the layout a bit awkward. There were stairs above the toilet which meant the ceiling was low and you had to be careful not to bang your head when you stood up. Quite noisy, there was a big race in Chamonix with music and announcements going on late into the night. The room was hot so we had to keep the window open. Also the hotel was hosting a party one evening in their courtyard which was right below our window. It was very noisy and staff were unable to tell us what time it would be finished or change us to a quieter room. If you are looking for a peaceful place to stay I would not recommend this hotel.

The service is super. The location is outstanding. The breakfast is lovely although we felt it was slightly overpriced. We stayed in a superior room but the bathroom was tiny with no ventilation and every time we used the shower, it leaked on the floor. The room is small but it was okay. Balcony was a nice touch. We found the heating in the room to work very well and was responsive to temperature changes. The boot room downstairs and spa is a great facility and we used both, including the sauna. The mattress was not a double. It was two singles together with a big dip in the centre. It was also quite thin so we didn’t sleep especially well. The pillows were tiny and very flimsy. This is definitely something the hotel could improve on. Overall, service and location made the stay good for us.

We booked superior room and probably got a semi-standard. Asked for extra pillows since there were only one flimsy, never got them. Staff not very friendly. No outlets in bathroom to accommodate foreign travelers. Pictures are deceiving. Will definitely not be coming back.

TMB Stay
I recently stayed here for two nights while preparing to start the TMB. Services was excellent, extremely helpful and polite staff. Bed was comfy enough and had an excellent view of Mont Blanc out my window. What was really great was the hotel also stored my luggage while on the TMB at no charge even though I did have a room booked after the TMB. I was able to just pick it up on my way out of town.
