"Great self contained sandstone cottage. The supplied Breakfast basket was awesome and provided a hearty breakfast for 2. The owner Shane was super helpful and nothing was an issue. Very well fitted out cottage, all you needed for a stay and then some. The fireplace was excellent for warming the cottage in the Winter weather and electric blankets were an extra comfort provided."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Lemana Junction?
The best area to stay in Lemana Junction is the area immediately surrounding the town centre, particularly along Main Street and its connecting roads. This central district is where you'll find the main cluster of amenities and accommodation. Main Street is known for its local cafes, artisan shops, and the historic Lemana Junction Hotel, which has been a landmark for over a century. The streets here are generally easy to navigate on foot, making it convenient for exploring. For couples seeking a relaxing retreat, staying within walking distance of the town centre offers the great balance. You'll have easy access to delightful eateries for evening meals and can enjoy leisurely strolls to the Lemana River for picturesque views. Many guesthouses in this area provide a secluded, quiet experience while still being close to everything.Families will also find this central location highly convenient. This period is ideal for enjoying outdoor activities like exploring the nearby national parks, hiking trails, and the various agricultural attractions around Lemana Junction without the chill of winter. It's also when the region's produce, like berries and stone fruits, is at its peak. The shoulder seasons offer a different kind of appeal. In autumn, the landscape transforms with vibrant colours as the leaves change, creating stunning scenery, particularly around the Tamar Valley wine region. Temperatures are milder, typically between 12°C and 18°C, making it comfortable for sightseeing and enjoying local food and wine festivals. Spring sees the countryside burst into bloom, with wildflowers and blossoming orchards, and temperatures are similar to autumn, making it a lovely time for scenic drives and coastal walks. While winter (June to August) brings colder temperatures, often between 5°C and 12°C, and more rainfall, it can still be a good time for those who enjoy a cosy escape or want to experience the quiet beauty of the Tasmanian landscape.
