Staff member on reception wouldn’t check us in without passports on every guest, which having come from France where everything is more relaxed, this seemed pretty intense. "This is a fabulous hotel with lovely high-end touches (such as Penhaligan's products in the bathroom, restocked mini bar, luxury sized bath). We were so happy to stay there, the room was furnished beautifully - we were constantly googling items to find out where they were from! The spa area is LOVELY and was a welcome retreat, especially as we had a day of rain during our stay. Deba is very small, so easy to get around, but this hotel was in a great location right opposite the beach. They provided beach towels and i think i saw another couple take deck chairs from the hotel too. Service was great and the place was spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend and definitely stay there again. Thank you to all the staff, we have a wonderful 3 days in Deba."

"We landed at this hotel after our VRBO fell out (confirmed reservation from VRBO, host said they rejected as full so we had to scramble). Very clean and well appointed. Price was a bit high due to the eclipse but VRBO covered the difference so it didnt matter much to us. The one challenge is that you'll def need wifi or phone service to check in (my french service wasnt cooperating). Great location and beautiful old building. Recommended!"
