Had a nice 2 nights at the New Ellington. With a few minor changes this place could be perfect. The staff were first class - very friendly and helpful - and the overall ambience very good. Large, comfortable rooms and good bathroom.
However, a few annoying niggles - the coffee machine in our room didn't work and building work over the road woke us at 7am on Sat/Sun mornings (though the latter obviously not the hotel's fault, it did make the stay less enjoyable). There was also an old flannel left in the bathroom when we checked in.
I also find it odd when hotels put really lovely glasswear in the rooms and then don't stock the minibar with anything except water!
Overall, 4/5 - but for the coffee machine and building work it would be 5/5 and I would definitely recommend.

Had a triple room which was big enough and comfortable. Too early to check in at 9 but they kept our bags until 11 when the room was available. Staff were lovely and good at directing us to shops/places of interest. They also recommended a great place for a lighter breakfast just by the river. The public car park was a 20 second walk away. Overall great.
"Swish hotel, ideally located in the heart of Leeds"
Very comfortable suite style room with all amenities.
I was greeting on arrival with a glass of prosecco and canopies by helpful staff.
Although the apartment hotel is ideally located in the buzzing entertainment district the entrance is initially hard to find as it's located behind buildings on Headrow.
The hotel was very close to the railway station and easy to find. Very convenient for the shops, restaurants and the theatre. It is a fine old building that has an elegant and modern interior. The staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good.
"AMAZING HOTEL, GREAT FOOD AND A GREAT EXPERIENCE "
This was my third visit at Oulton Hall and yet again it didn't disappoint. On arrival my partner and I checked in to be told we had been complimentary upgraded to one of the hotel suites! The room was something else I have never stayed in anything like it! The bed was huge and so comfortable! A few of the curtains in the room were coming off the rails slightly but that's a very minor maintenance error that didn't bother us at all. I have stayed in the standard bedrooms and they are brilliant too! The drinks at the hotel bar are expensive but it was nice to sit and have a glass or two in the lovely bar area. In the morning we went down for breakfast and it was great. The restaurant is decorated lovely and has such a nice feel to it. The food was great, there was a lot of variety. Staff were regularly asking if you wanted tea or coffee and couldn't have been more helpful and friendly!
The hotel is in a great area, not too far from Leeds city centre at all or Xscape where we went to eat dinner one night and it was brilliant! Another minor problem we found was parking, there are two car parks one directly at the front of the hotel and a larger one at the rear. Morning parking was fine we could get parked at the front but when it came to night we struggled to find a park in either car park we just had to keep driving round until a space was free.
All in all this hotel is amazing, I would recommend to all! A fabulous stay with friendly staff and a brilliant room!
