Had a fantastic stay at the Marriott in Leeds. The food and drinks in the Executive Lounge were great and gave us the chance to chat about our day in a pleasant atmosphere and discuss our evenings plans. We also stocked up on a lovely breakfast, setting us up for a full day at the cricket. Parking at the hotel is very cheap, saving you more cash for our break. I'd like to take the time to thank the staff, in particular Aimee, Nona and Salim for the exceptional service and also for making my extra days extension in the same room so straight forward.

Nice central location

Nice hotel, great location, a little noisy from the bars around the hotel. A warm welcome from doorman Lamin, the room was very clean and comfortable, the only thing I would criticise were the pillows they were very soft and very sparse of filling, but all in all it was a enjoyable stay.

Pleasant stay in the heart of downtown

Posted 23-Aug-2017
It was a pleasant stay except for one incident with a front desk staff, whose name is Nana. She treated us like second class citizen. I went to her because we had upgraded our room to a one bedroom suite the day before and the supervisor who helped us told us that we can come to the front desk the next day to get new keys. However, the next morning, we had to rush out to go to a funeral. That was the purpose of the trip. There was a death in the family and we were there for the funeral. When we returned to the hotel in the evening after the funeral, I went to the front desk and told, Nana, the front desk staff at that time that we were told to get new keys because we upgraded the room. I informed her of my room number and she looked at me as if I did not belong in that room. I then repeated myself but her mannerism was very unpleasant. She then said to me that I did not need a new key. My husband then approach the front desk to get his car valet, then she asked again if we were staying there. My husband replied again and then she gave us the new keys which she already said that I did not need new keys. She made us feel very uncomfortable that we did not belong there. Otherwise, as a marriott elite member, I love the marriott brand.

Excellent location for visit to Leeds

Posted 17-Aug-2017
Pros: Good sized rooms and leisure facilities are excellent
Cons: Some of the rooms may suffer from street noise
Location: In the centre of Leeds so ideal if you are travelling by train. Close to all shops, bars and restaurants.
An excellent hotel in the centre of Leeds close to railway station and other transport links. Rooms, facilities are high quality and staff very helpful.. Breakfast and other meals good value for money. The pool area is clean and well equipped gym.

City center hotel in excellent location

Posted 31-Jul-2017
Pros: Lobby, location, staff, bed.
Cons: Room decor and shower.
Location: Where to start - Leeds is a fabulous city, and the Marriott is ideally located.
We only had one night here and used none of the facilities outside of our room, so other reviewers will have a more rounded opinion than us. The hotel staff were very courteous and we were allowed to check in early (around midday). The lobby is very grand and spacious - a really lovely space. But my one concern was the room decor, which was tired and dated - lots of brown furniture and a chair that was very threadbare. Also, one of my main gripes in hotels - a shower curtain over the bath. Admittedly it was relatively new and clean, but why in such an up-scale hotel would they not have a shower screen or even a dedicated shower? But the bed was comfortable and there was a large TV. Overall, whilst the lobby and communal space was lovely, the room was a let-down - particularly for 5-star hotel. Maybe other rooms are better, but we can only speak as we find.

Great hotel in the city center

Posted 25-Jul-2017
Had a one night stay in Leeds for graduation. This hotel was convenient, comfortable and had great parking. Hotel staff were friendly and competent, would definitely return.
