Pleasant stay in the heart of downtown
It was a pleasant stay except for one incident with a front desk staff, whose name is Nana. She treated us like second class citizen. I went to her because we had upgraded our room to a one bedroom suite the day before and the supervisor who helped us told us that we can come to the front desk the next day to get new keys. However, the next morning, we had to rush out to go to a funeral. That was the purpose of the trip. There was a death in the family and we were there for the funeral.
When we returned to the hotel in the evening after the funeral, I went to the front desk and told, Nana, the front desk staff at that time that we were told to get new keys because we upgraded the room. I informed her of my room number and she looked at me as if I did not belong in that room. I then repeated myself but her mannerism was very unpleasant.
She then said to me that I did not need a new key. My husband then approach the front desk to get his car valet, then she asked again if we were staying there. My husband replied again and then she gave us the new keys which she already said that I did not need new keys.
She made us feel very uncomfortable that we did not belong there.
Otherwise, as a marriott elite member, I love the marriott brand.
