Staff not very friendly especially at breakfast. Poor quality for price breakfast. Rooms look tired, are very hot and it is a noisy spot also.

old flour mill retains some character

Posted 08-Jul-2017
Staff is caring and patient with my rather demanding cousin who engages with people whether or not they have better things to do. That's worth a lot says his mother who would not go anywhere else on our yearly stays in Leeds. I personally have had no trouble with anyone there and staff is helpful And polite. Being an old and converted building, floors are uneven. That adds some character. Rooms on the street side are noisy at night for those who sleep with windows open. Rooms on the river side are calm and the view is nice.

Pros: Personal touches e.g. Wine on arrival
Cons: Nothing
Location: In a quiet area with bars and restaurants, but the large bar across the river gets very noisy
Very smart and tidy, a lot of noise from a large bar across the river

Very disappointing

Posted 26-Jun-2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms require updating
Stayed here on-numerous occasions nice clean rooms good location. How ever on this occasions found the room to be extremely noise due to a festival we wasn't told off until we checked in & remind noisy through the night even when it had finished. Room very shoddy well worn, shower cubicle awful black mold discoloured grout around base of toilet. TV didn't work Hotel informed nothing sorted. Won't be staying again.

Hotel by the River

Posted 26-Jun-2017
It was a lovely room, friendly staff, wouldn't have said a bad thing about it until it got dark. Then came the spiders. The window wouldn't shut properly so they could get in which wasn't pleasant. When we told them in the morning, the response was "well, we're by the river." It was a great hotel, but if you don't like spiders it's one to avoid!!

Very central

Posted 29-May-2017
Pros: Close to the city centre.
Cons: Air con in the bedroom a fan that works in the bathroom and double glazing.
Location: Shops, theatre and arenas.
Although this hotel is close to the city centre, which is ideal for shopping, and also the arena, which is why we went. I think that is about all the good things I could say about it. There was only one window that opened about 2inches there was no air con, not even a fan that worked in the bathroom. It was so noisy outside that went in until about 4am that we didn't get any sleep. The hotel staff were not very knowledgeable as they couldn't tell us the way to the arena and just suggested we either got a taxi or used our phone! Overall we came away very disappointed.

Delightful, retro-styled waterfront boutique hotel

Posted 04-May-2017
Pros: The shortbread and caramels, the robes, the room, the wooden sleeping cat key chains.
Feel like you stepped into the roaring 20s in this intimate Art Deco-styled hotel on the old waterfront in Leeds. Elegant black, white and red color scheme in the lobby went well with the gracious staff. Our room was spacious, with fluffy cotton robes, staff-made shortbread and caramels every night and a super-comfy bed. Loved it!!

Gone downhill very quickly

Posted 20-Apr-2017
Pros: Good location to town...quaint
Cons: The room I had was very tired for 'luxury double' and had no decent facilities.
Location: Very close to town center and all Leeds has to offer
I've stayed here a number of times...booked a 'luxury double' which was very disappointing. Tired shower, Nescafe rather than fresh coffee, noisy location at front of hotel, cold staff, unwanted wake up call, rubbish breakfast. Have recommended in the past...won't in the future.
