Misleading Terrible location. Outdated.
Photos online of this resort are misleading. Paid in full online prior to arriving. Checked out after 1 night pepared to lose our money - thats how disapppinting it was. A good 30 minutes drive to town. Isolated and nothing or any facilities nearby at all. Extremely secluded. On beach but definitely not a swimming beach. Pool average. Rooms need major update. No running hot water. No tv etc. Lucky to fit one person in bathroom at a time. No basin/mirror in bathroom- small basin in room next to kettle. Restaurant misleading same set menu - just really snack food (pizza, spring rolls, fries etc). Definitely not worth the price... much better and more options in town.

Nice hotel, nice view of beach
Pleasant stay, helpful staff, sercurity was a worry but not concerning, awesome pool area and bar, hard to find, signage and lighting need improving, overal comfortable stay. Rooms still need a facelift as it feels more like a retreat centre as appose to a resort. Peeling paint in some places and windows needs upgrading. Will make an awesome religious retreat centre for large groups, but still needs improvement to become a resort

Not good enough
The lady at receptionist was not expecting us. She didn't have our name on the computer and said the actual receptionist would be there tomorrow meaning she was pretty much telling us to stay elsewhere for the night until they could find proof that we had actually paid for our hotel stay. Luckily I had an confirmation email from when I paid online. Aircon was not working in our first room so we went Into another. The sheets we had were a bit dirty it had black spots on it. Our room wasn't cleaned only once during our stay. Breakfast is average. Only nice feature is the pool. We paid for 5 nights there but didnt sleep there for the last two nights because we just didn't feel it. Only some of the staff were nice. Overall we won't be coming back to this hotel. But we wish nothing but blessings to everyone who helped us in a way.

Nice pool area
Arrived and checked in receptionist friendly not a very organised booking system. Gorgeous pool area overlooking the beach. Room very tired, went to bed sheets sandy and had what appeared to be nose blows on sheets - 3 out of four beds booked. Very large family reunion in progress, extremely loud and went to all hours. 2 of our party had 5am airport run so door was left unlocked for an hour for driver to return. Someone came in with a torch during the hour it took for airport drop off. I called out and door was shut. Lights outside room very bright and on all night. Breakfast consisted of couple of bits of toast and a few bits of pineapple. On a positive note the floor tiles were very shiny.

Clean resort
Our room were comfortable with aircon, bed were so comfortable, the only faults we have was the restaurant, we ate there every day that we stayed there, but each day meals were different, I get that every chef cooks differently, but when then menu is smaller I do expect the consistency of food, eg 1 our of 3 morning we had American short stack pancakes, only 1 day was good pancakes the other 2 days it tasted like it was uncooked and no self raising flour, the other order was the same too pancakes were flat and hard! The chef should be specific in following the menu to deliver what the customer had order. Other then just that the resort is beautiful.

Talofa Atoana, Thank you for staying with us and for the feedback on our services. We are working on this issue with our cooks as we have had others comment on this also. We hope to see you again soon. Best regards The St Therese Retreat and Accommodation.

Absolutely Beautiful
Operated properly, this could be a 5 star experience, but it suffers from all the things common to Samoa. Poor internet, lots of bugs, and poorly trained staff. Still, the beauty of the site offsets much of the problems, so it is worth staying at. It is about 20 minutes from the airport, has a restaurant with good food, and nice people staffing the site. The beds were good, it had a nice patio with a table and a chair, a fridge, a fan, and air conditioning. The cockroaches and the ants were a pain, but that's the tropics. Lots of rain in parts of the year, mostly at night.

Love the peacefulness of the area & location by the sea. Although the hotel is mostly geared for retreats, rooms need a little upgrade, desk with lamb, larger trash can, mid-size frig., small microwave, iron/board & some eating utensils.

We only stayed overnight to catch the early ferry to Savaii. It was comfortable but there was no toilet paper we had to ask there was some rubbish left behind from who ever stayed in our room before us. The workers were lovely but they couldn't do much without a manager ie wifi etc. This place would be good for big gatherings.

My uso's first time in samoa..
We stayed at st therese. It was my oldest brothers first time in samoa (he's over 40yrs old). The whole experience was great. Going to dads & mums village & coming back to an air conditioned room each day was good. It's situated far enough from Apia to get the true Samoan experience & when you do head into Apia, it's a nice short ride by taxi or bus. The facilities are ok. The pool is really nice. The food is ok. Most of the staff were helpful which helped make our stay a good one. One thing that would be good in the rooms is to have hooks that you can hang towels & clothes on.

This accommodation had lots of hidden costs for our family reunion. From paying 200tala to use the fridge to put our meat in, to 50tala just to do the washing. I also found that my key was able to open 5 other rooms on the top floor. The only reason why I give this accommodation a 3 is because of the size of the room & the pool.

All Blacks Adventure
Had the most amazing few days at St Therese. It was warm, sunny and tranquil. I had a couple of days there with no other guests so I used it for inner searching and mediation. Most definately worked. The staff were polite, friendly and caring. They took the time to make sure I had everything I needed / wanted. One staff member even stayed late thinking that I was coming back for a meal.

Lovely place to stay!
Lovely place to stay but was too far away for the airport. We had been recommended this place online by someone at the call centre in India who hadn't been to Samoa before. Still a great experience though with gorgeous views and surroundings.

Flew through for a day and had a great stay
I flew in for a night over to Apia. The hotel is located close to the international airport. The room was newly renovated and nice and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The Miss-Managed Manor
On arrival at 10pm we found the gates locked and both the phone number advised on my confirmation email and a different advised on the billboard outside were distinctly lacking in anyone to answer them. When the security guard finally returned to his shack at the gate he was unaware of any guest arriving but showed us round to the managers on-site accommodation where it took an extraordinary effort to speak to him as we was more interested in send is young son who couldn't speak English to deal with us. When he finally managed to pull himself away from the TV we were again advised he was unaware of our stay as he couldn't access the computer and that there was a woman in town that normally tells him of the expedia bookings. I advised that the booking had been in place for some time and even on showing him my confirmation email he seemed unconcerned that he was not prepared for our arrival. On the two occaissions they actually prepared our continental breakfast we were given cold fried eggs a piece of fruit with some toast. The only option for drink was tea. When I finally found a member of staff to complain about the lack of breakfast they pointed me to the manager who again fobbed me off with apologies but no recompense for the lack of breakfasts that I had paid for. The level of service in this place is unmeasurable ... I mean literally you can't find any to actually measure. STAY AWAY!!!!!
