We felt really well looked after at check in and knew we could get in touch if there was a problem. We didn't have a car and found the location perfectly acceptable, even with the return walk up a hill after a night out. The view of the Gulf of Poets was made more gorgeous by the storm clouds and sun bursting through. Paola was gracious in offering to extend our checkout time since it the weather had been inclement and in retrospect, we wish we would have stayed rather than leaving early to visit Cinque Terre. We all agreed PortaVenere was far more enchanting than any of the crowded villages of Cinque Terre.
