Nice hotel close to shopping and restaurants.

Posted 10-Jul-2017
Pros: Room cleanliness, pool, food.
Cons: Maid service.
Location: Close to shopping, movie theaters, and restaurants.
I'm local and stayed here for 2 nights with my 4-year old son for a short "staycation". I enjoyed my stay for the most part. I was a little disappointed that I never got any maid service during my 2-night stay. I really didn't need anything except to have my garbage taken out and I had to do that myself but it would have been nice if they had at least asked if I needed anything. Other than that, the room was nice, clean and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast and evening dinners were satisfactory. My 4-year old son enjoyed the swimming pool and the chocolate chip cookies. I would probably stay here again.

Hi Susan! Thank you so much for sharing your feed back with us! I'm happy to hear your son enjoyed the cookies and pool! Making you happy makes us happy and I'm glad we could do that for him! I want to apologize for your room not being serviced! it's not like us to miss a room. I have since addressed this with our housekeeping staff to make sure this does not happen in the future. If you ever need anything at all on your next visit, our front desk is 24/7 and we are always happy to assist! Again, thank you for your feed back! We look forward to impressing you on your next visit to our hotel!

Excellent for a person with special needs..

Posted 29-Jun-2017
Pros: The parking, the friendly and accommodating staff everywhere. Room 113 lay out was great for the handicapped and parking right outside the room.
Cons: I would have preferred bacon, sausage patty, and hash browns on the breakfast bar instead of the smoked sausage, biscuits and gravy. Oatmeal was good
Location: Easy to find within a mile off I-15, close to shopping and many good restaurants.
Great staff throughout visit. Room was large, clean, modern with good A/C and hot water for the specially made shower that you can roll a wheelchair directly into. Room 113 was excellent for our needs of invalid husband being in a wheelchair. The king bed and chaise lounge were both comfortable. They provide dinner and breakfast on M-TH and it was delicious and plenty of it. Golden Corral buffet is directly across the street, Marie Callendars and many other restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Lagoon is probably within 10 miles. Daphne was our maid and the room was spotless. The staff at the front desk and dining room were so friendly and accommodating. They even had sack breakfast out for travelers leaving in early morning. Drinks and cookies were out most of the day. The pool was tepid and the Jacuzzi hot. They had plenty of parking directly around the Hotel. Very convenient for the handicapped.

Great hotel with or without kids

Posted 03-Jun-2017
We stayed for a graduation in town with our 3 kids. The pool wasn't overcrowded or dirty and they had a blast. The breakfast was also a good selection and clean and nice. They did a Manager's reception in the evening that was a light soup and salad dinner and had fresh cookies out at 7. The staff was very kind and the hotel very clean. Overall, I'd absolutely stay again!

Nice hotel and staff but....

Posted 21-May-2017
I was put in a room on the bottom floor next to the pool. The ability to sleep was impossible! The staff and hotel are amazing but, there was some kid event going on and the banging was crazy! The kids ran up and down the halls until late. The room above us started banging on the floor at 6 am. At times it sounded like they were in our room. I am not sure why we were put in that room or if it was because we booked thru here.

Registration Desk

Posted 16-May-2017
Friday and Saturday night registration clerks seemed tired and out of sorts, although they did do their job. Compare that to Sunday morning, the different staff was bright and cheerful and dressed for the position. I don't want anyone getting in trouble, but a smile at check-the would have been nice. I had worked that day, then drove six hours to take my granddaughter to National Dance Competition at Lagoon. A Smile would have meant so much when I checked in!

BEWARE of the Hampton Inns

Posted 08-May-2017
I have stayed 4 times in Hampton Inn hotels in the last year and you MUST be careful. Hotels in Boise and West Jordan Utah were good experiences. Las Vegas was terrible.wrong size beds, staff that didn't care, breakfast line wrapped out of the breakfast area. They didn't have any oatmeal even and I don't even like oatmeal. But the final straw for using this hotel chain was Layton Utah. We were travelling by car and were planning on a special dinner at the Red Iguana, which can easily be a 1.5 hour wait to get a table. So being proactive I called the hotel and was assured arriving later would not be a problem and there was no problem paying in cash. An hour later my reservation was cancelled and our room gone. Never again. Roll the dice if you want to but I would advise finding a different chain just because of the inconsistencies, you might have a good trip and then again you could have a nightmare.

Dirty beds

Posted 07-May-2017
Found several hairs in the bedding and had to request new sheets because it was just so gross. The mattress pads never get changed and had hairs as well. So freaking gross. I couldn't get comfortable all night because of it.

Very nice room

Posted 16-Apr-2017 on Orbitz
The rooms at this Hampton Inn were very nice very modern and comfortable. The only caveat is that I would list is that their bathrooms do not have fans. If you go number two you're going to smell it in your room.
