Clean, tidy.
Cleaning bedding, towels for everyone, mini shampoo, body wash etc, Underfloor heating, parking and clean kitchen (most amenities but no toaster). Big enough space we were able to spread out. Only bad side was there was a stale cigarette smoke smell coming from the bathroom. It wasn’t all the time, but by the afternoon/evening it reeked. And there was mild behind the sofa. Two not so great things for someone with asthma. Also, the upstairs bedroom prob isn’t designed for adults. My 6ft 2 son hit his head on the slopping roof when getting out of bed, and he couldn’t stretch out his feet. Otherwise a lovely property.

Hidden, quirky place
Unusual room. Did not quite match the description on the booking forum. Small with a bed that was in a recess so felt quite claustrophobic. If you sleep near the wall, you have to climb over the other person to use the toilet. Quirky but great surroundings and extremely peaceful. Owner friendly

Overall,a great place to stay whilst sightseeing.
Stayed for 2 nights to visit the local area. Used the Carthouse as a base, so didnt spend much time there. The accommodation is great, comfortable beds, overall clean. Could do with a little attention but wouldnt stop us from visiting again.

Great spot , great views, just what we wanted. We had a lovely little chalet/ annex . Only complaint was the shower water pressure was poor, but it was hot and did the job. We would definitely go back there!

Carthouse
Nice location, central for south Pembrokeshire. Walled gardens are lovely. Carthouse is ok, its comfortable but needs maintenance and decorating. Careful with shower, it drains very slowly and can overflow.

Peaceful location
Nice property away from big towns and cities, was very peaceful. We were originally going to stay in the small room but got upgraded to a bigger room free of charge which had all the basics we needed. The lady of the house was very lovely, I am an animal lover and she let us meet the ponies and house cat Dexter. Overall it was a good place as my boyfriend and I were exploring the castles, ruins and coast around the area, the property is a short drive from all of these so was very convenient.

Beautiful location, fab dog friendly site!
Beautiful rural location in close proximity to Lamphey, Pembroke, Tenby and surrounding villages. Stunning views from the Ridgeway towards the coast and a beautiful walled garden on site to explore and enjoy. Our hosts were welcoming; present but at a distance to allow privacy. We stayed in the Old Bakehouse which is self - contained and full of character. The whole site is really dog friendly and we will definitely go back again.

checked out after one night
We were given the tiny room with the seating area above the bed. This accommodation is more suited to a single occupancy rather than a couple with two dogs. The ladder to get to the seating area wasn’t practical and I feel we should have been advised as definitely not suitable for a less able bodied person. The kitchenette was ill equipped with just one teaspoon and two knifes and forks. The fridge contained mouldy fruit from the previous occupants, suggesting that the accommodation hadn’t had a thorough clean. Concerning in current climate. There wasn’t any windows, just a door which didn’t lock from the inside and not suitable to leave open even though it was very stuffy as dogs would have got out. There wasn’t an enclosed area even though we booked dog friendly accommodation. Hotels.com we’re of no support to us in getting a refund on our dissatisfied experience

Perfect spot for short stay in Pembrokeshire
We were in Pembrokeshire for a couple of nights visiting friends and Lamphey Park was the perfect place to stay. The room was cosy and comfortable with stunning views of the gorgeous countryside. Breakfast was delicious and we were joined each day by the hosts for a chat (and a visit from their friendly cat). The only slightly tricky thing was the drive leading up to the property - the track was a bit bumpy and had to be taken very slowly in our Mini. Better suited to bigger vehicles but we still managed!

Stunning locations, few small improvements needed
Absolutely stunning location, beautiful set up in the Cwtch. Very cosy. Shame the kitchenette didn’t have any tea and coffee as advertised. The utensils were also too dirty to use! However waking up to the gorgeous countryside made up for it! We were visited by several spiders too due to gaps to the ground under the bed! 😳

Pleasant short stay.
We stay in one of the family self-catering studio for one night. The accommodation was easy to find, magnificent country views. Check-in was quick and easy. The studio itself had everything we needed and was clean, however it was a little tired and the bathroom in particular could do with some work. Beds comfy. Small kitchenette which we used for breakfast and was very useful. Not sure it was quite worth the money paid for the night but the area was very popular and in mid-August. The owner was very helpful and welcoming.

Our Stay
The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was spotless and the views from our windows were beautiful. Tea, coffee, sugar were in the room and fresh milk was kept in a jug in the fridge on the landing for the guests to use. The breakfast was very good with choice of cereals, fruit, fruit juice toast and the cooked breakfast was extremely tasty. It was service with a smile all the way and they welcomed our dog. There beautiful beaches nearby and places to visit. Will definitely return.

Loveliest staff ever - the perfect getaway
We were attending a big wedding in Manobier Castle and had booked the Lamphey Court 5 weeks before however after ringing to check the check in time two days before I was told to my horror we’d been double booked and the hotel receptionists were not helpful at all so Expedia booked us into this one instead. They say things happen for a reason well this did! Wonderful homely welcome by Jon and the other staff - so pleasant and kind. Amazing spotlessly clean ‘Cluedo’ style mansion house with so many original features and to top it off a lovely breakfast where you mixed with the other guests. Oh and we got to smooth their Shetland Ponies :-). I will be returning soon with my dogs - if you love rustic charm then you’ll love this - Penny Blyth x

Working hard, but slowly sinking.
This old Pembrokeshire farmhouse is in a lovely position, but lacks the comfort the modern traveller expects. Expect a warm welcome but a somewhat confused one, as our host got our dates wrong and was not expecting us. Good job it was out of season! Good breakfast choice and nice surroundings but not for all. Old beds with sprung mattresses are worn out and are in desperate need of replacement. Bedroom doors with gaps in the woodwork meaning anyone in the corridor can see into the room if they wanted to and exposed electrical wiring in the hall gives cause for concern. Could not find their food hygiene certificate either! Tired rooms with poor room facilities all made for an uncomfortable stay. To us, it seems like the owners are trying very hard but are sadly sinking as they are overwhelmed with trying to maintain this old building.

Wonderful querky, unique.quiet.
Lovely location, a very quiet spot. The hotel is querky. Good breakfast , parking good. The track up is rough, but just take it slow. No. Double glazing, but nothing to shut out. Lots of hot water. A little tired in places, but overlook that for a wonderful home. The proportions of the house are grand. Enjoy it's age.I would Definitely return.

Joan, Hi. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Lamphey park is an old house with a bit of a history and we we want to keep its character. However, we have redecorated four of our rooms since your stay and they are now looking nice and fresh again - ready for the next summer season. Regards Jon Davies
