Go if it's a really great deal

Posted 29-May-2017
We stayed in the Club Tower, 10th floor. Wound up with a crappy view of the airport. Very basic amenities in the room, and the alarm clock had a docking station for an iPhone 4/4s which I found a little amusing. Anyway, the room was clean and comfortable, no complaints there. The trek from the lobby to your room is actually pretty long. The pool hours are STUPID. 10a-5pm everyday. Very unhappy about that. It was 103 degrees on one particular day that we did use the pool, and the water is too cold to be enjoyed. The casino is definitely smaller than other hotels and there are much less options of machines to play. Everything is ungodly overpriced at this hotel, restaurant and shop-wise. We spend much of our trip checking out other hotels. Since you're essentially at the south end of the strip, you have to cross main, busy roads by way of escalators and stairs, mostly stairs since a lot of the UP escalators were broken during our visit. The pedestrian bridge leading from Tropicana to MGM was closed during our visit and this was very inconvenient. On the plus side, your walk to the gas station and the Fabulous Las Vegas sign is easy. If you find an absolutely unbeatable deal, stay here. Otherwise, pick a better location with a nicer casino.

Great staff!

The pool was our favorite feature with the swim up blackjack! The staff at the entire place was beyond nice and accommodating. Our only complaint was the ac in the room wouldnt constantly stay on, it keep shutting off in energy saving mode.

Prison stay on the strip.

Posted 26-May-2017
Pros: The really expensive food was good.
Cons: Level the old poorly built building or put thermostats in that actually control the cooling system.
Location: On the strip and almost the same temperature so you know how to dress.
The hotel has total control of the temperature in the rooms. The thermostat can be set to 68 degrees but the temperature never gets below 72. It will only work though if you are in the room because it senses motion. The outside temperature is close to 100 so i would return to a room at almost 78 degrees that never cooled off. The engineers where telling me the system was working and while they where in my room temp went up 2 degrees. The bathroom was a bad refinish epoxy coating that was blistered and peeling. I didn't bother to complain about tub with the temperature as hot as it was seemed petty.

Good Vibes cool people

This hotel is one of my favorite in Vegas. Love the ambience. The casino is great because its not that loud and is a calming environment and most of the dealers are fun, friendly, and helpful. My only gripe is that I wish they had some type of table game bonus with their card ( ex if you have a players card and get a diamond flush then you get $25 and everyone else on table with card gets 10 etc.) That would make it worth having a card and make the table games a little more exciting. Tropicana if you are reading this please add a table cash bonus that gives us an incentive on players card thanks.

Smokey!!

Posted 24-May-2017
Pros: Location, room size
Cons: Non smoking to Casino!
Location: Bottom end of strip with everything walkable.
We had one of the rooms facing the airport, which was fine and not noisy. Room had slight smoke smell, opened window for a few hours and it was fine. Nice large well laid out room with nice fixtures and fittings. Hotel staff neither friendly or unfriendly..... Hotel check-in area and Casino area absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke!! It was just too strong!! All the Casinos are like this though..... Catch up to the rest of the country Vegas!! The obligatory "Resort Fee" what a joke! Just tell me the price and stop with all the hidden fees and taxes....! Overall a pleasant stay but if I was back there again I would search out a smoke free property.

Thank you for your feedback. We know that most non-gaming hotels are indeed smoke free.

Disappointed

Posted 23-May-2017
Pros: Food at the Beach Club Food Court was good but expensive for what you got.
Cons: Pool hours, Pool being open (all of the pool) Prices, distance to rooms
Location: Location was ok but really only stayed here as it had smoking rooms and free parking.
First of all when paying a resort fee to use the facilities and going to the pool (hours are awful) and then to have to stand in line only to find out that half of the pool is closed but still paying full resort fee price. The long walks to the rooms or to get anywhere is very inconvenient. I feel that this is a hotel that doesn't cater to the customer but the customer caters to the hotel. Don't think we would stay here again.

The room was clean and very spacious with 2 comfortable queen beds and a large bathroom. Only complaint was that it was a bit hard to find parking.

spend the extra

Posted 22-May-2017
Pros: the Italian restaurant and the Steak House
Cons: Everything except the 2 Restaurants
Location: End of Strip very far to get to anything 26.00 plus tip Cab ride to get to the Wynn.
The couple of bucks you save is not worth it. Stay at a better newer Casino. Room was extremely old and outdated. Took forever to walk to the room from the Casino. Didn't see housekeeping except for one day on a 4 night stay. Only 4 restaurants and only two are a little more upscale. I must say the food was outstanding in both. Even the pool area is small and if your not out 1st thing forget about getting a chair. Would not stay here ever again.

Be prepared to walk.

Posted 22-May-2017
Pros: Seemed clean.
Cons: Room amenities were lacking.
Location: Lots of nearby activities and food, but be prepared to walk a lot.
Parking is short walk to the check-in desk, but that's just the beginning. My room was in the Club tower, which entailed walking through the casino, up an escalator, down a long hallway, and around a corner to very busy elevators. Room did not have a fridge, coffee maker, or microwave, and while Wi-Fi was supposed to be free, it kept asking for a password that was not given to me. The main reason I chose this hotel was proximity to the MGM, where I was attending a show, and it was cheaper than staying at the MGM. However, the bridge directly to the MGM was closed, so I had to cross three streets in order to get next door.
