Comfortable and convenient. We rented a car so while we still wanted to visit the strip it was not the destination.

Close but not too close!

Posted 07-Feb-2016
Pros: Free access to the tower, Great location. Friendly English speaking staff, free Ice, and clean casino.
Cons: Toilets could have a stronger flush.
Location: Walgreen's, a general store., Nearby are several low cost dinning options Denny's, Carl's jr, Jack in the box and a taco joint. Right on the bus line.
Great place to stay, Close to the strip but far enough away to get away from the majority of the bustle when you finally decide to call it a night. A Walgreen's within walking distance. It is near several low cost dinning options (Denny's, Carl's jr, Jack in the box and a taco joint, just to name a few) not including the ones inside the hotel itself. Right on the bus line for east transportation to either the strip or downtown. The rooms are in good condition with great AC units, comfortable beds, pillows and deep bath tubs though the toilets have a weak suction. The free unlimited access to the Stratosphere tower itself is a great boon and I full-heartedly recommend visiting it several times bot at night and during the day. Hotel staff is courteous and all I met speak fluent and smooth English(not something you'll find at all hotels in Vegas). The hotel provides free Ice for your drinks and a fast room service. The staff is very easy to talk to and reach via phone if you need them. Casino is clean and doesn't have a smell like Circus Circus. One of the best places you can stay at without breaking the bank! We stayed 7 nights and never had an issue here. Fully recommend it!

Nice hotel in a quieter part of town

Posted 07-Feb-2016
You get what you pay for. If you want a five star hotel this isn't it. The hotel is comfortable generally clean and quiet. We don't spend a lot of time in our room so this is perfect for us. The free parking is easily accessible and no run around to park. Just pick a spot and go back to your room. The view from the top of the Stratosphere are amazing and included with your room.

Old hotel, far from the strip

Posted 06-Feb-2016
The Stratosphere is showing its age, far from the strip. The area felt very unsafe. The Hotel itself was not worth the cost.

Great view

Pros: Quiet
Cons: Dust behind the bedside table!
Location: Little bit down the Strip but bus travel really easy to access outlets and middle of Strip so not really a problem.
Upgraded for free after a long flight. Great view of the mountains surrounding Vegas. Bit dusty behind the fixtures but overall good. Not a busy casino the week before the Superbowl but helpful dealers and staff made it easy for a beginner to learn the ropes. Little bit off the Strip but bus travel really easy so not really a problem.
