Third Time Unlucky... We Won't Be Going Back Again Posted 05-Aug-2015
This was our third stay at Desert Paradise Resort, which turned out to be extremely disappointing, after two previous visits, which were fantastic. Problems included: During our 2 week stay, housekeeping didn't visit unless I called the Front Desk to advise that they had failed to call in on the allotted day. The apartment was vacuumed once during our 2 week stay. The Front Desk didn't seem to know what day the scheduled house keeping visits were due, as they changed the details three times - mainly to compensate for missed visits, after I had complained no-one had shown up. The dishwasher jets were clogged with old food, so didn't clean the dishes properly. Maintenance visited but said it was working as expected. Water from the dishwasher backed up in to the kitchen sink unless the waste disposal was running - again Maintenance said there was not a problem. If the temperature on the air conditioning was turned up above 72F, it blew hot air in to the apartment - we were told this is also apparently normal... The adult pool, which is intended for over-18's only, was not policed by the resort, with the result that it was frequently full of kids, leaping in an out of the water. A member of resort management walked through during one particularly noisy day, but took no notice of the kids, whose average age was probably 8-10 years old. We were disappointed at how the resort had declined, following two prior visits, so needless to say, we won't be booking to stay again.
