There is really too much to say. Restored or remodeled doesn’t do justice, they transformed a classic motel into art. Everything is top-notch and I didn’t even take advantage of all the amenities. I wish my bed and shower were as nice at home. I do wish hotels.com called out that parking is $12 and there are fewer spots than rooms. Thankfully the communication directly from the hotel is great and I was told well before my check-in so I didn’t show up with nowhere to park.

It was a great location, next time we would stay at the next door property called CAO, it seemed newer and easier to get to the pool. It had a rooftop seating.

This hotel was a great surprise. The hotel is beautiful. The room was really well furnished, and the rooftop bar - restaurant was exceptional.

Nice historic hotel with a nice calm feeling. Live entertainment with guitars. Staff. very friendly and helpful. The elevator is old and makes noise. I recommend staying at this hotel.

El Vado Motel is a really cute eclectic motel. They’ve obviously taken a lot of care and time to make it a great experience. We loved staying here. The rooms are comfortable, aesthetically pleasing and the pool is perfect for hot weather. The one note I would give is for anybody traveling that needs high speed internet (work or for streaming etc), the internet was extremely slow and it made working difficult for me. Normally I’d use my cell phone as a hotspot as a backup but cell service was spotty and speeds were slow there too. As a backup I went to the Sawmill market down the street and found a quiet corner to take calls form and use their internet (and eat some tasty food!). But that one lowlight for me does not diminish what a great motel and experience the El Vado is and would recommend it for solo travelers, couples or small families.
