"This apartment was absolutely perfect for us. We wanted to explore the villages but also stay out of the crowded areas. It was a great retreat after a day in the villages but you could also hike right from the house to the town of Volastra and there is a wine bar along the hike! You can also hike to the villages. Our favorite village was Corniglia which is a 15 minute drive from the house. The roads are very narrow. The views are spectacular! There is no internet but we brought our Starlink and it worked great! At night it was so peaceful and you could see the villages light up! There are about 80 steps down to get to the house but it is worth the effort. We had a car so I am not sure how you would get to the home without a car but there is a bus stop in Volastra. The house did not have many supplies like paper towels, dish soap or dish towels so you may have to buy some before arriving. I will definitely return to this rental."

"Amazing scenery from our patio. Very unique location on the side of a mountain. Amenities were very adequate. Apartment had a homey feel with some nice pictures. It’s spread over 3 levels with steep stairs so kids and elderly adults need to be careful."

"We had a lovely stay in Volastra. The private parking was a huge bonus, especially since parking in the surrounding towns can be difficult to find and expensive. The property is beautifully situated on top of the hill, with a peaceful atmosphere and easy access to the surrounding area. Antonella was wonderful and so welcoming! She gave us helpful recommendations for walking down to Manarola, including the bus schedule for getting back up the hill and where to buy tickets for less than paying directly on the bus. She even offered to make us a coffee at 6:30 AM when we had an early checkout and couldn’t stay for the included breakfast, which was such a thoughtful gesture! She speaks French as well. A great spot to stay if you decide to visit Conque Terre, as I heard that you can also buy train tickets from her for cheaper."
