Savoy needs a paint but dog friendly and welcoming

Last minute thing for my 40th greeted with an open smile welcoming dog friendly ,room OK nice and spacious trams out side quite pricey if you are staying more than 1 night would be well worth it other than that the hotel is OK actually its better then some I've stayed in people staff was very welcoming the food was nice bit slap dash no table cloths on the table but the food was nice for evening dinner buffet

On arrival staff were fantastic couldn't fault them we stayed on room 336 family room room was large could see the sea from side of hotel apart from the damp walls and corner where paper was stained and obviously been wet beds were clean room was dated wasn't expecting this from a top Hotel

Don't know why people given negative feedback our stay was perfect Clean huge room, clean towels and bedding. Kids loved it, great staff and friendly atmosphere, clean cups and facilities will deffo be returning! Great bargain price too

Disappointed

We had one night stay in a family room. The room was not family friendly. The handles on the windows was broken....the windows wouldn't shut properly and had gaffer tape holding them together.......no hot water in the morning and the sink was blocked.....no water pressure to get the shower to work......carpets not cleaned......fire alarm went off in the middle of the night for 10 seconds with no explanation why.

Outdated and uncomfortable

We booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 children online for 2 double beds. However on arrival we ended up with 4 single beds....The carpet was stained, the chair at the dressing table was stained, the windows wouldn't open. The only plus points were that the hotel was directly in front of the beach and the breakfast was very filling.

Worst stay I've ever experienced

When I turned up I was told I owed £106.00, I said I'd paid but without my phone on me as it was in the cat I couldn't prove it so I paid, I then got my wife and boys out box the car to be called over by the manager to be told they'd been a mistake and she owed me a refund. Not a great start. They then put 2 boys 4&5 on the 4th floor, however the lift only goes up 3 floors. After spending a good day walking around Blackpool and then the zoo we returned back to the hotel up four flights of stairs cos only 3 people can use the lift at any time, to find our key card doesn't work. So down the stairs it was again to get it reset. This happens a couple more times which just infuriated us. 2 boys crying cos they wanted to go to bed but we can't access our room. To cap off a nightmare stay the fire alarm went off during the night so I carried my youngest down just to be dismissed by the rudest man ever to be a receptionist (also the same man who said I owed money when I checked in, more training required here) claimed it was a false alarm only for the alarm to go off again. And once again hotel guessed were just dismissed and told it's a controlled situation in the basement and go to bed. So that was my night ruined awake for most of it concerned the alarm was going to go off again and to boys to carry down 4 flights of stairs as you can't use the lift in an evacuation. Terrible hotel, terrible staff, wish I'd of stayed in a b&b and gave the locals some money.

Dated. Dirty. No entertainment. Staff were good as they probably used to complaints.,first two rooms I was given I wouldn't even take off my shoes in them... 3rd room was better but not up to hotel standard. Surprised they are still allowed to be trading!

Very Dirty everywhere dust/mass from Main to Room

Pros: Nothing to like about ... i am showing hotel photos to my family & friends they feeling sick looking at it.
Cons: Bath Hot water..Hotel deep Cleaning Staff should be Friendly Strong Air freshener inside the hotel Outside window needs proper cleaning No Wifi

As soon we enter hotel main area we had to block our nose, there was some kind of smell all our the launch area , asked receptionist for key she was so busy doing nothing she took 10 mins to give us a key. our room was on 2nd floor so we had to go by lift, Lift was so dirty and smelly my 3 years old was feeling sick by the smell. floor was so dirty it was like no one cleaned hotel for ages, Finally enter our room thankfully was a bit clean but smell was still there. no air freshner nothing, for bath no hot water so we had to wait for an hour. Tea kettle was so dirty from inside. asked room service for another kettle. Wifi is free but only works launch area. As soon you go to your room no signal nothing.. No Hot water.. No Clean No Friendly Staff No nice Smell No Wifi in the room

Ready for a face lift

Pros: Close to beach
Cons: Parking, Wi-Fi, (or just be honest) décor and reception staff attitude.
Location: Well positioned for Thornton Cleveleys.
We chose this hotel because it was supposed to come with free parking and free Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, we had to park on the road because the hotel car park has very few spaces and was full! Also, the Wi-Fi is only available in the lounge / bar area. The room was acceptable for one night but the rooms and hotel are ready for a cash injection and a face lift. The cleaner was a lovely woman - very polite and helpful. The reception staff were 'going through the motions' and not particularly pleasant. Overall - not great but acceptable for one night.
