In need of Modernisation. Looking very tired.

Pros: Quick check in and check out.
Cons: Décor, lift, rooms, flooring, carpets.
Location: Central for all amenities in Blackpool.
Fire alarm was set off at 1.30am in morning , took about 20 mins before all was sorted. Floorboards creaking all the time, in our room and rooms above and beyond us. Lift in need of modernising, only allows for 3 people at a time. Staff not very friendly, seemed to be all foreigners. Windows didn't open in the room, which meant room was very warm all night even with radiator off.

Really Needs A Serious Makeover

The location of the hotel is excellent, on the sea front and the staff are really great but this hotel is really in need of a serious revamp. The first room we were given had wallpaper hanging off the walls and a really bad smell. The TV was not working so we were given another room which was bigger and had less smells but this hotel has seen allot of years and seems not to have been decorated for many years. Internet was free but not very reliable and we did not get to have breakfast as it did not start until 8.00am and we had to be at an event at the same time. This hotel is part of the Britannia Group and I have not had good experiences before but I did not known this at the time of booking. But the staff are very pleasant !

Room without a view

Room had frosted Windows so there was no view. Not enough towels when we arrived and we had to ask twice before more arrived. Cold water cut off while I was in the shower which could have been dangerous. I would not go to this hotel again.

Walking into the savoy it's decoration in the lounge is lovely ! Then you get in the lift and all starts to go wrong the max people in the lift was 5 we was told by a very snotty reception only 3 at a time so for safety bells sounded in my head but it's ok then we got into the lift which was very well used in every way decor and bumps and bangs , but hey it's a lift ! Then we got to the room after fighting with fire doors that you could only open if you was in training as they was the hardest doors I've ever had to open, and the room looked clean until you started to look ! Door frame hanging on by pins and a gap all around the frame! Bath was stinking it looked like it had been used by a football team! And over all cleanliness was ok but you could see where the cleaners had skipped as the room was so small

Just went to Blackpool to a show and thought we would stay overnight. The floors are very creaky in the passageways and room - exceptionally creaky and with signs asking people to respect others and be as quiet as possible.

Dreadful, worst place ihave ever stayed.

Pros: nothing
Cons: Needs bulldozing to ground.
Location: Lots to do nearby, while being quiet enough to relax.
Sent to double room, when booked a twin, complained then was given a change of room. Both rooms tatty, dirty, and twin even had a boarded up window which couldnt be opened. Would never eat there, cant imagine what state of kitchen would be. Staff rude and couldnt be bothered.

Deep Clean Required

This hotel could be great but is let down by the basics. Upon arrival the outside area is littered with cigarette butts, litter and disgarded beer cans. The Reception area is in poor condition, cluttered and untidy and hidden to the side of the main entrance with staff not keen to provide help. The hotel has an strange damp musty smell throughout with a general lack of cleanliness and attention to detail. For example no toilet roll in the bathroom and filthy showerheads. Overall it is poorly managed and being run down which is such a shame as it is well located and the building exterior is impressive albeit from a distance.

The price and location are amazing. The only problems I had was with the WiFi only being available in the lobby and the floors creaked badly.
