Faded glory

Posted 10-Mar-2017
Pros: The price
Cons: The whole feel of the hotel. It is dirty from the front door through to the rooms.
Location: Positioned on the seafront with good transport links to Blackpool centre and Fleetwood Freeport.
This was once one of the top hotels in Blackpool. It is now shoddy, and dilapidated. The furniture in the rooms may have been elegant at some point in the 1970's, or before, but now is just tired and in need of replacement. A hotel of this size needs maintenance staff hours to solve the plumbing problems.

Very tired interior

Posted 24-Feb-2017
From entering the hotel you can see it's very tired and shabby. Chap on reception was absolutely lovely and helpful Room was ok for money, but had paint peeling from the walls and all furniture was scratched Hotel cafe and bar did not accept card payments which was a pain as the ATM at reception was not working Bet it was beautiful when first opened but needs a major overhaul, it was ok for money we paid though, wouldn't want to stay longer than a couple of nights x

Looks like a castle so my daughter loved it!

Posted 23-Feb-2017
The hotel is a bit run down but the staff were brilliant and it was clean and tidy! Has it's own bus and tram stop so is great for getting to places! My little girl who is 7 thought it was great...and I really enjoyed watching the ballroom dancing! The breakfast was great but the evening meal was a bit over priced for what you got. But overall....considering the price I'd recommend it! You can't complain as you know what Blackpool hotels are like and as I say the price was great! With a luck of paint and a bit of maintenance I would of given it a better rating! I will return 😊
