Really good hotel good value

Posted 19-Oct-2016
Pros: Free parking nice breakfast and night time entertainment
Cons: Smells like an old peopleschool home
Location: Location not great but you can jump on a tram right out side
Really nice looking hotel a bit outdated but much better then some of the bnb in Blackpool

Illuminations overnight stay

Posted 17-Oct-2016
Location: Its Blackpool, always something to do and somewhere to go.
Went with open mind after reading recent reviews but wished had gone 'on spec' after the weekend came and went. No problems at all with all the staff, friendly and smiling faces but hotel and room in desperate need of refurbishment. Severe trek through the hotel to find allocated room, spacious enough with comfortable bed, shower ok and plenty of clothes space. However, sink blocking after every use, towel rail broken and bottom drawer of unit broken. Room in our opinion grossly overpriced even after taking into account that it is the illuminations. Breakfast was very good and plentiful and the staff coping admirably due to the high number of guests staying. Overall we concluded that even cheap and cheerful did not apply to this hotel.

Booked family room double and 2 singles Was given 3 singles and a small fold up bed on floor Hotel is very old fashioned and in need of updating Inside is scruffy and run down Hotel was cold and room was freezing Quilts very thin and kept waking up cold Swimming pool was the best part of hotel but again water was cold and changing areas freezing when getting dressed etc Dining room was ok and food was ok But I won't be returning or recommend it to anyone

Norbreck weekend

Posted 17-Oct-2016
Expensive rooms did not match expectations. Breakfast was extra although food quality was good. Buffet approach so you could go back for more if you wished. Hotel appeared full. Car park was large but difficult to find a spot even at 15.00. Busy place

Don't bother

Posted 14-Oct-2016
Was ment to stay for 2 nights lasted one! The bathroom was ok and that's the best thing I can say about the room the mattress was so hard and thin felt like you where sleeping on a hard wood floor so I wouldn't bother unless you like unclean rooms and sleeping on the floor

Rooms clean and warm although some refurbishment would be welcomed. Usually return to the hotel as car parking is ideal and opposite tram stop.

Good value, large hotel, would benefit from refurb

Posted 10-Oct-2016
Pros: Location suits us, and it has all that we needed. Breakfast is plentiful and sufficient. Can be busy at times.
Cons: Some areas could do with redecorating and updating.
Location: On the front at North Shore between Bispham and Cleveleys. Easy reach of town centre and surrounding area.

Tired hotel, needs TLC, unpleasant experience

Posted 09-Oct-2016
This hotel could be good but as it is, it is very overpriced (despite the deal we got) and generally very poor condition. Very dated, corridors stank of smoke, rooms were shabby, we were given the wrong room initially and my partner was spoken to very rudely by the reception staff when he went down to say we had the wrong room he was taken back by the response of 'it's not my fault its been double booked', 'you can either stay or leave' ....!!!!! What type of hospitality is this?! We wanted the room we paid for!! After going down myself the guy then got us another room which was under the criteria we had booked, hoping for a better room we were mildly uplifted as in this room the bedding was dry (the 1st had damp bedding) and the windows were marginally cleaner! However this room did have an extra door with a wardrobe in front which was a little unnerving! OVERALL, we would definately avoid this hotel in future and it puts a bad view of Britannia hotels for us in the future.

RUN DOWN. Needs Updating a lot.

Posted 04-Oct-2016
The hotel it's self is very out dated. Need restoring. No wonder it's known as faulty tower. It's really far out and away from everything. The staff at the hotel are friendly, Polite and helpful. The breakfast wasn't amazing but it was edible. The hotel is more for the older generation, me and the girlfriend being the youngest there by far.

Good position, clean,

Posted 28-Sep-2016
Pros: position, price, clean. car park.
Cons: needs a redecoration
Location: next to tram. Blackpool and Fleetwood close by.
Hotel on seafront. Tram stop opposite. Bit past it's prime. Price was good though. Room clean. Beds o.k. bathroom o.k. would stay again.Good car park. Had breakfast which was good.
