Very disappointed

Posted 21-Aug-2015
Booked a three day stay at the hotel but checked out the next day due to the fact the pool was closed this was the only reason we booked this hotel there was no mention of this on the website so when we arrived we very disappointed and effectively ruined our break

Nice hotel close to Blackpool and lake district

Posted 19-Aug-2015
I stayed there with my wife a 3 years, 6 years and 9 months old. The room we stayed in was twin delux, which was very roomy. I think it was about 350 square feet. the hotel is in a very secluded vicinity, which is fantastic. The building, decor and furnishing has a reagal feel. The breakfast was outstanding. the room bathroom was very clean and comfortable but could do with some modernisation. We had a very comfortable and fantastic time there.

A lovely hotel for a four night stay.

Posted 15-Jul-2015
Pros: The location, the accommodation and staff.
Location: The area has beautiful scenery, interesting small towns, lovely walks and numerous good restaurants serving locally sourced produce.
The Preston Marriott is located in well maintained, extensive grounds. The is ample car parking. The hotel is very efficiently run with friendly and very helpful staff. Our room was quiet, very comfortable, clean and very well furnished. The breakfast buffet was varied, plentiful and attractively presented. The staff were attentive and efficient. Similarly, the bar and lounge area was attractive with a varied menu. The staff were also attentive, friendly and very helpful. We look forward very much to our next stay. Thanks to all.

Good comfortable hotel.

Posted 19-Jun-2015
Pros: See above
Cons: See above
Location: Good location for Central Lancashire and the Fylde. Exits on to a very busy main road, the A6 and can be difficult to get out, esp turning north.
Good hotel, have stayed before. Everything OK but the restaurant and bar menus were a bit brief, not much choice, and the breakfast cooked selection was poor. The wi-fi was expensive (having just stayed in two good hotels where it was free) at £8 per day or £20 per 3 days. I arrived on the Saturday evening at about 5pm and signed in. I chose the three day option as I was staying until the Monday. As soon as I had checked out at 10am Monday the connection was chopped! Effectively I paid £20 for 41 hours use...not good. Would I recommend the hotel? Yes, but with reservations (see above).

Hotel is very spacious and easily accessed from the M6 motorway. Great grounds and hotel facilities are acceptable. Food is good and breakfast is really good.

Nice hotel but some areas ready for refurbishment

Posted 25-May-2015
Pros: Staff very helpful. Food very nice
Cons: Some refurbishment and decoration needed
Location: Reasonable shopping in Preston. Not too far from the Lakes in one direction and Trafford Centre in the other. Good garden centre nearby.
Very good welcome by reception staff. Have stayed at this hotel before, however, room not as nice as last time and bed not particularly comfortable. However room was very clean and nice selection of toiletries in bathroom. Stairs and corridor in need of decoration. Chairs in bar also looked as though they had seen better days. Bar staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was fab and again staff very attentive.

Nice hotel shame about the noise

Posted 19-May-2015
Lovely hotel. Nice pool and spa. Nice surroundings. Unfortunately as we were on the ground floor facing the car park, we heard noise from outside and the room next door. Shame as other than that was a lovely hotel.
