Great breakfast, musty room & very noisy at night

This hotel has its good & bad points. The room could have done with a deep clean to remove musty smell and hairs from bath tub & bathroom floor. After a long day, the last thing you need is to be woken at intervals between 12-4am with noise & guests shouting. Therefore I suggest only stay at weekend if your planning a night on the town. On a positive note the staff are great and so is the breakfast with a variety on offer.

Pros: The swim pool was great
Cons: The changing facilities for the swim pool were very small, only 2 people could change comfortably. Restaurant very pricey .
Location: shop in Blackpool, walk on prom.
Close to the center of Blackpool and across the road from the prom.

Pros: The staff - very professional!
Cons: Didn't rate the evening meal 4 star I'm afraid, gravy far too thick and only luke warm. Disappointed that you allow pets, hubby allergic to pet hair.
Location: Good location for bus/tram stops, so could go south or north without any problems, but we enjoyed walking down to the south and back again.
The first room we were going to be offered was not the room we had booked - this was a double and we had booked a twin, so we were given a room on the 6th floor, this room was very smelly, probably had had pets in, we were very disappointed as we particularly booked at the Hilton because of its reputation. We were then given another room on the 7th floor which was okay but nothing special, but it was clean and tidy and no smell, bathroom a bit sparse.

Hotel close to the beach

Was told that we were going to be served Christmas dinner, but it was self service with no turkey. The entertainment they said was going to be there during dinner was not there. When I booked I requested for a fridge in the room and was told it will be provided and was to call a week before and confirm. I called a week before arrival and was told it was to be provided. To my surprise when I checked in was told they were not going to provide a fridge. I was disappointed, I had travelled with children and only to be told on arrival that it was not being provided.

Not quite what we expected

Staffs were friendly and when we reported problem (leaking toilet) on arrival with the first room, they have changed our room promptly. However, it was quite surprising and disappointing that on the following day nobody bothered to come and clean the room, do the bed or provide fresh towels. Didn't expect that in Hilton whereas even normal three star hotels provide that basic service without having to ask.

Bit tired!

Front entrance was closed, towels and bags on the foyer floor, when in to the room it was nice although windows were dirty and bathroom tiles where patched up with odd tiles and many were broken and cracked, bit cheap finish to mirrors, main bar was closed so we had to use costa coffee bar where staff did not know how to serve a pint of bear, we had to collect our own empty glasses as staff would not collect them from our table! disappointed a little!

Hotel nice clean but decor could do with an update. Ample parking area. Close to amenities! Rooms clean though polyester pillows should be provided some people allergic to feather pillows.

I cannot fault the service provided by the staff in the hotel. Sadly, the room was on the small side but was just sufficient to accommodate a wheelchair in the bedroom. Car parking ticketing machines are a pain.

We enjoyed our stay but found the hotel to be in need of updating and the spa area really does need to be improved no where to relax and the area looked tired. The restaurant was lovely and the staff was very helpful.
