Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Dirty, noisy hotel. I was woken up 5 times during the night with drunk people knocking on my door. Corridors reek of booze. Worse than abad b&b

Short Notice Break

Posted 13-Jul-2015
Cons: The hotel needs a complete overhaul, it's very tired
Location: Excellent location, right on the beach and within walking distance of everything.
Arrived at the Hotel ok, welcome from the staff was very good. The staff could do no more for me when I had problems with the first room overlooking the road, offered me a better room overlooking the sea. The room was quite peasant, but a bit tired, which to be honest was the feeling I got of the hotel in general. My 4 day stay ended to soon, I will recommend this hotel more so because of the price plus it's location.

Book because of its location only.

Pros: Location
Cons: Everything but the location
As previous reviews this a tired old hotel in total need of refurbishment and modernisation. Perhaps Premier Inn should come along and show them how it is done, including teaching the staff regarding customer service and customer experience.

"Trainspotting" an der englischen Küste

Posted 01-Jul-2015

The room

Posted 27-May-2015 on Hotels
we were very disappointed with the size of the room we were allocated,we had booked a superior room with sea view and the room was the same size as a standard room, it was also poorly decorated and the radiator didn't work so it was cold and damp. The only thing that was superior was the jacuzzi bath.

The Grand Metropole in my experience is in desperate need of a complete overhaul. I'll be travelling to Blackpool regularly in the future but will be looking for better accommodation. Location was great though being on the sea side of the street when the wind was high the curtains moved and the noise was loud. In short this hotel is outdated and overpriced unfortunately as it does look fabulous from the outside.

First room we were given was dirty in the bedroom and bathroom, a lot of dust you would think the builders had been in on the window sills, you could hardly see the sill in the bathroom obviously not cleaned for quite sometime, got moved to another room and it was dirty as well but not quite as bad.
