Noisy and run-down

Posted 27-May-2017
Pros: Nothing.
The whole hotel needs upgrading - noisy water system which went on throughout the night - we stayed for 2 nights and hardly slept. Doors continually banging - noisy guests we even had someone try on three occasions on the first night to enter our room past 2 in the morning. The room itself was sold as a double but was really a single - not enough room for a double bed. There was a single headboard with a 3/4 base. It stated in the write-up that all rooms had tea/coffee making facilities and also a hair drier - no hair drier in our room. We would definitely never stay there again and would certainly not recommend it.

Pros: location
Location: Soulsuite directly across the road
Room was small but clean. No view just a filthy roof covered in bird droppings. No towels in room asked reception, took two hours to arrive

Hotel looks great from outside until you walk through main doors and wonder if you in a time warp . So so outdated and run down . Threadbare carpets wallpaper hanging off all corridors filthy Windows musty smell in general . Lifts archaic 4 people only in a 300 plus room hotel . Never again

Not so welcome

Posted 11-May-2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Receptionist attitude and helpfulness.
picked hotel for parking as we had car journey of 200 miles. We got there at 14.00 tired and ready to shower and change. Car park was full and receptionist said 1st come gets spaces. She said we could check in and we went to the room to find that the key didn't work. Back to reception to be told then that would not work until 15.00. Eventually got in our room to find that it had no towels so back to reception. This time we were only one of many without towels as they were still waiting for laundry to be returned. Did not effect us but a couple arrived and had travelled by train. They could not get in their room until 15.00 so asked if they could leave their luggage and go shopping. They were told no it was not policy. Several hours later in the evening we say cases stored in the lounge area marked as waiting luggage. Really poor reception help.

Hotel with noise

Posted 22-Apr-2017
Wouldn't never recommend this hotel. Everytime the toilet flushes you hear a noise in the bathroom. The room also was small was like a tiny box beds were also very uncomfy and the breakfast was very limited it's definetly not worth the money for breakfast very little choice at breakfast

Nice hotel close to everything

It was an ok stay nothing special but clean, when we arrived we were given a room accessible from the lift but then you have to go down a few steps, as I use a wheelchair we went back to reception where they asked if I had put a note on the booking which I had but the hotel hadn't received reguardlessly it was changed straight away to an accessible room with no problem.

Excellent location

Posted 28-Mar-2017
Pros: Location , on site parking
Cons: Quality of food taken previously
Location: Excellent location near plenty of amenities like north pier etc
Excellent location and amp,e car parking on site at the time visited , ancient building and decor to match , limited access to rooms down narrow hallways , but the room we had was very good with seperate tea making room leading to bathroom with spa bath , all in all would return owing to location and car parking ( £3 per night ) on site , would only go room only as we have had meals in past and in our opinion have gone downhill in quality and picked over , and can buy out cheaper

grand suprise

Pros: it felt like I was on the titanic amazing building!
Cons: the smell in the corridor of sewage but it was not in the room.im guessing with such an old building it has really old sewage system.
Location: near all the night life ,town center loads of shops ,on top of everything blackpool has to offer.
after reading reviews of this hotel I didn't expect much!the hotel is a beautiful old building with amazing architecture, our room was the biggest ive stayed in for blackpool, and yes the furniture is dated but at least it matched and was in good working order .beds were comfy ,abundant supply of tea coffee ,big bathroom with jets in the bath ,couldn't of been more delighted with our stay and will stay again ,we got this at abargain price ,oh and also there is on site parking for £3.00 for the night that was a bonus!we sstayed in the basement we had no view as such but the room more that made up for that.
