One night stay in Glasgow before flight home
The Torrance Hotel was a nice find for a one night stay in Glasgow before returning home the next day via the Glasgow Airport. Approx. 30 mins from the airport if no traffic. There is a gas station and restaurants/stores within a short distance from the hotel. However, I would recommend eating at the hotel's restaurant. All of the dinner food that we ordered was great. (Coconut Chicken, Fajita's, and Prawn appetizer. Ask about gluten free items. Was able to get gluten free bread with my prawn appetizer in place of the ciabatta bread, Parking area is available if driving a car.

It was a great hotel only thing was the heat was a bit unbearable but the food staff and room where excellent. We were there for a wedding .

very friendly staff. but wee bit pricy for drinks. first time have stayed in an only card hotel, so new expereince for me.

Lovely hotel with brilliant staff.
We stayed at The Torrance for two nights for a family wedding. It was fabulous. The breakfast was delicious. On the Sunday morning it was Buffett, not the menu, so being a vegetarian, I asked if there were any veggie sausages. The gentleman in charge of the dining room returned with a plate of vege sausages, halloumi and grilled tomato’s. What service! In fact all staff we came across were so helpful and friendly. The bar was very cosy especially in the evening. I only wished we had time to try a meal in the restaurant. And the wedding went well too.

Had a really good time at the hotel. Very clean and modern look and staff at reception were very good . We were in room 4 which despite being on the small side was lovely and clean and had everything we needed, nice big shower . Had an evening meal which was excellent and breakfast in the morning was particularly good with quality ingredients and great service from the staff at both times . Will definitely be returning in the near future

We had a very comfortable stay at the Torrance. A few technical issues we noticed on check in....television had a loose cable so poor reception! And the cupboard door over the mini bar was almost hanging off. Reception came up and tried to sort both things. Thefood in the restaurant was excellent....but the only problem was with the carafes of coffee....each morning we had to ask for hot coffee...staff made us fresh hot coffee. The staff were lovely and very helpful. My husband and I will definitely return.

Unfortunate stay
We were visiting friends in Scotland and in particular East Kilbride, the location was excellent for Restaurants, bars etc. The hotel has been fully refurbished in recent years and looks good, with plenty of outside and inside areas to eat or drink. The Hotel was hosting a wedding on the Sunday when we arrived . Unfortunately just after midnight we were woken to people banging on our door, trying the handle and shouting and swearing demanding access. I called down to reception the person apologised and said they would deal with it , and they did. Unfortunately members of the wedding party disturbed our sleep until about 4am. The next night was peaceful. We asked for afternoon tea on the Monday , which is advertised through out the Hotel to be advised no as you need to book. The restaurant at that time had only 4 tables occupied, I can only presume they order in the afternoon tea. In the bedroom I found 2 hair pins on the carpet , and when I used my hairdryer I ended up with glitter all over me, which tells me the room had not been hovered or dusted from the previous occupant. The throw on the bed was dirty and full of unpleasant marks and the settee in the room was ripped in places. The breakfast staff were very nice and apologised again for the disturbance in the night and to be fair, they can’t control other peoples behaviour.

Absolutely beautiful hotel booked for coldplay as couldnt get anything closer but was more than happy with our choice,restaurant was lovely we ate at night and had a few drinks dominic was a lovely guy as was the girl on reception and the lovely man who i think was manager sorry didnt catch his name,only thing that let it down a bit was breakfast there wasnt much left at 9am and we asked several times for toast which we finally got after we had finished our breakfast,but other than that would recommend

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The only thing that would have made it better if air conditioning. If I opened the window it was a little noisy as we are next to a road and closing it meant it was too warm for me to sleep.

Loved the hotel. Staff were great. The room was first class and the only thing I'd change is that there are barely any sockets in the room so charging more than one device was a challenge.

Nice but not worth the price
Nice hotel but the rooms are really dark and the furniture all dark too which makes it look even darker. The rooms need more than one available electrical socket for those working. Wifi was really poor, for £110pn this hotel is well overpriced.
