Great location. Very courteous and helpful staff. Big room. Good amenities, clean. No elevator which is explained, but we got assistance with luggage.

Great location, homely friendly atmosphere. Staff were really helpful. Great breakfast selection. Beds were comfy enough.

The room was okay and he staff wasn’t nice, however the hotel needs some major upgrades starting with the windows since you can hear the trains. The room doesn’t have air conditioning nor a fan so we had to open the windows, which don’t fully open making the noise even worse. I also don’t remember reading there are no ELEVATORS. The girl at the front desk did offer to help, but she was a tiny girl and was only able to help up go up one floor so we had to come back down and carry the luggage to the top floor. The stairs are very old and have carpet so it smells very bad.

As we are situated in such a prime central London location with so many easily accessible transport links on our doorstep, we are aware that this comes with some minor draw backs such as the noise, however we do try our best to accommodate all of our guests to the best of our ability by providing earplugs in every room. We are also aware of the difficulties that our guests can encounter with heavy suitcases and no lift. Unfortunately we are quite limited with any changes we are able to make to the hotel as it is a listed building, it is written on all of our websites that we do not have this facility, we do try our best to accommodate all of our guests by offering to help with any luggage up to their room. I am very sorry but I did try my best to carry your suitcase.We are happy to provide a fan in your room if you had raised this issue of the temperature with any member of our team as it is our upmost priority to ensure every guest has an enjoyable time with us. Due to us being located in a busy central London location with many transport links available nearby to easily access all that London has to offer, unfortunately this does come with some draw backs such as noise which can disturb our light sleepers. Too expensive

Too expensive for what we experienced. Our second day breakfast was raw. Our room door was right next to the lobby door, with no soundproofing, so it sounded like people were trying to get in when going past. A member of the domestic staff didn’t knock before opening our room door, while we were still in the room.
