"We had such an excellent stay. The perfect cozy cabin with outstanding lake views! Easy check in and check out. So clean and well appointed everything we needed to make Thanksgiving memories. So much incredible birdwatching as well. You will not be disappointed. We will be back for sure."

"Overall, the property looks great, although, we didn't utilize any of the amenities since we were only staying one night. Something I wish I'd realized ahead of time is that for these particular cabins, there is only enough hot water for a 5 minute shower. The welcome packet says to limit showers to 10 minutes but in my experience, the hot water lasted about 5 minutes. The bathroom is pretty small, but has everything you'd need.

"My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Banyan cabin. It was very tranquil and allowed us to destress very easily. The cabin is in excellent condition with the kitchen bearing a nice modern look. There was a washer and dryer in the cabin which allowed us to wash some of our clothes no problem. Management was nice and friendly and helped us check into the cabin easily. The neighborhood is very quiet, except for a couple of trains that pass by (we didn't mind the trains though). Overall, I'd...

"I checked in and the room smelled. I think it was because no one had used the room in a long time and the drains stunk. After running some water the smell went away. The dinner next door has good food. The Inn is centrally located and easy to get to different places in the area."
"I was looking forward to my one-night stay at the Oxford but was very disappointed. The pictures on the site including Expedia do not adequately represent the property. In the pics, it looked fresh and clean. Reality is the flooring, door jams, elevators are old and not clean. The room was not fresh with old furnishings. I was not comfortable staying, fearing there were unseen insects in the room. The staff were helpful but were on their mobile phones, less than a professional appearance."
"Disgusting! This place left me with 6 bed bug bites! The windows are disgustingly black! because of the mold. Their so called “no smoking room here” smells and reaks the smell of billions of smoke otherwise. The bed is already making a hole because it hasn’t been changed for a long time probably. The smell of their “clean” linens is like shiiiitee! Never staying here again. And I’m sure the owner of this place could care less about a negative reviews. Cause they don’t change anything they don’t try to make it better. As long as they are making money right???? Oh and on top of that they only have 1 waffle maker! so good luck waiting in line with 2-5 cups of waffle batter each person waiting in line. DISGUSTING"
"This was our 3rd time staying here. The courtyard patio access is helpful for us with a pup. Room was clean and provided necessary accommodations (small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, adequate outlets, clean towels and soap/shampoo/conditioner), the bed however was not comfortable. An upgrade in mattresses would be nice considering the cost per night to stay. The bar/restaurant has decent food but the service was poor. They were short staffed so some grace was given but I think they actually forgot about us a couple times. We missed the cutoff for breakfast the next morning. Didn’t realize it ended at 10am. I had to find the info on the website. The “order here” table sign in our room directed you to their online ordering which was not in service at all. A printout in the room with hours for food would’ve been helpful to be aware of time cutoffs. Overall it wasn’t the best or worst stay but for the cost there definitely could be improvements. We may try it again in hopes some things will be better next time."
"Newly remodeled facility with off street parking, located on the northwest end of town. The staff was friendly and helpful. Lobby offers free water, coffee and snacks. Pets welcome too.
The room was nicely appointed with a new TV, large bathroom with a walk in shower. The bed was bit firmer than I prefer.
The traffic noise wasn't too bad considering how close to the highway it was. Close to food options on the walkable portion of what may have been downtown."
"When we arrived, we were assigned a cabin without a stove but the manager quickly rectified it. However, we were only supplied a small saucepan and no cooking utensils. We did have dishes, an oven mitt, one mixing bowl, silverware, and mugs and cups. The shower had 2 settings: ice cold or scalding hot. Not a big deal for me but I was traveling with a toddler and she got burned as the water turned from cold to hot in an instant. There was a 2 inch gap at the bottom of the entrance door. This was of concern to me both for safety and because the cool air went right out it. The playground was poorly kept and the baby swing's buckle was broken. Not a huge deal for my toddler because she knows to hold on but a smaller or less playground experienced child would not be able to safely swing. The slide is from the 80's and got very hot during the day and is at a slope that rocketed my kid down at jet speed. She did hit her head the first time going down so I had to catch her every time after to avoid injury. No other amenities were open besides the horseshoe pit, which was not a good option to play for us. The path to walk and look at the lake was overgrown with poison oak so if you go down there, wear long pants. This is a no smoking or vaping property, period. I didn't know this and had to walk up to the entrance right by the busy road. I had a service animal with me and while I didn't have to pay the nightly price, I did have to pay a cleaning fee. Overall not great, but okay."
