Lake cruise from Bowness is good value.
We bought a 24 hour "Freedom of the lakes" ticket and managed to get four different boat cruises in during our 24 hours!
We took the 24 hour Lake ticket and managed to get four different cruises across the lake in in the time allowed!
Windermere Lake is always an attraction, bringing with it a lot of people. So it gets very busy.... Finding a parking space in the town can be difficult, so maybe find one a little away from the centre and walk in to the hurly-burly
Great boat trip and easy walk along the west side of the lake.
If you opt for boat trips ,make sure you take cash with you if you want to buy onboard. £2.50 for hot chocolate as example.
