Creekside setting, 5 miles from SugarBowl Ski Resort, .5 miles from Donner Lake Public Beach, 5 miles from Fun Historic Truckee shop/dine! Just a half hour drive from the beautiful Lake Tahoe. Enjoy the cabin life including skiing, swimming, hiking, boating, fishing, mountain biking, cycling, scenic drives and more!

We do love pets! But please note we have a $50 per pet fee given the additional cleaning and maintenance. We also have a strict policy where pets are not allowed on the beds or furniture. If that all works for you we welcome you to book our home!

Beautiful light-filled home
We really enjoyed our ski week stay. The house is gorgeous and was very comfortable for our family. We really enjoyed the beautiful views and abundant sunlight, which can be hard to come by in that area of Donner Lake. It was also nice to find a dog friendly rental that was luxurious for the human occupants as well! We will be back.

Really lovely home with beautiful décor. Love the quiet neighborhood on the west side of Donner. Very easy drive up to Sugar Bowl. Would love to stay again.

New Year with a View
Property was clean and easy to access. We arrived at night and had no difficulty finding house or getting inside. Very clean with a great kitchen and appropriate kitchen needs for a party of 6. Living space was comfy and warm and we loved the wood burning fireplace. Our group didn’t have any difficulty with only one true shower. Would love to go back in summer and enjoy the back patio area. Great stay and wonderful place to ring in 2024!

Love the house and back yard. Only issue was that we wish the home advertised only one shower. While the house boasts that it sleeps 8, having one shower hardly accommodates. That said, we made it work and it had a great time.

Beautiful house in Truckee!
We had a great stay in Truckee/Tahoe at this Donner Lake Woods property. The view from the living room was spectacular, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the main bedroom had a lovely free standing, clawfoot tub to relax in. Our dogs also enjoyed romping around in the snow in the backyard.

Serene Donner Retreat
As soon as you walk in, the view from the living room windows takes your breath away. It is such a beautiful home with an amazing backyard retreat. I think the outdoor space was my favorite. You have access to the river and an outstanding Mountain View. We spent lots of time eating and enjoying the multiple sitting areas provided for guests. Inside, the couches and lounge areas are very comfortable and again lots of options for guests to sit. The kitchen stove was really cool to use!

Wonderful winter get away
The home is all we had expected. Fabulous view, comfortable furnishings, cozy fireplace, clean with nice finishes. The host was very attentive and prompt with replies. Check in was a breeze. We enjoyed neighborhood walks with our dog. And it’s close to Truckee stores and restaurants for when you choose to go out. A really lovely home. We will be back! Thank you!

Like something out of a fairytale
From the moment you walk in, the views will take your breath away! Every angle of this home, every view, every living/sleeping area, is so very beautiful, picturesque and cozy. Love the open main living area, with comfortable seating, big kitchen and lovely dining room table. A huge plus was the wood burning fireplace, you don’t see those as often anymore and we loved having a warm, fresh fire everyday especially with the blankets of snow outside. The home is within walking distance to Donner Lake and a short drive to downtown historic Truckee. The host didn’t miss a beat and was so very kind/professional! I shared many photos on my personal social media page of our vacation (views from the home) and received over a dozen requests for the link! Book it, you won’t regret it.

Serenity in the woods
Our jaws dropped as we entered the home. The views out every window, peace and quiet amongst the aspens and attention to detail really made our vacation special.
