Convenient and Adequate

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during a family vacation to Switzerland. The hotel is conveniently located close to transportation (main train station and boat terminals) and tourist attractions (Chapel bridge, Old Town, restaurants, etc). Of course, convenient is a matter of perspective - we had only carry-on bags and find 10-15 min walks to be easy - but it worked well for us.
Hotel staff was courteous and friendly, including the owner, whom we has a chance to meet (she was very nice and even showed us her late husband's model railroad). We arrived early in the morning on the first day and they let us leave our bags in a secure storage area which also had restrooms, so we could change our clothes and freshen up before embarking on tourist activities, returning later in the day to officially check-in.
The hotel offers an excellent, free breakfast buffet every morning. As others have pointed out, the buffet does indeed include free champagne, though we never took advantage of that (too early in the day to be drinking!).
The rooms are clean and adequate but could definitely use a refresh; however, given that we spent so little time in the hotel, this was not a major issue for us. The room had no air conditioning but it was not very hot when we were there (June), so we just left the windows open. The neighborhood was quiet enough that leaving the windows open was an option. The several restaurants in the area, including one that is attached to the hotel.
