Good location close to river, old town and train

Overpriced hotel with a motel/hostel feel. Would not have stayed there if I saw old, sub par rooms in advance. Run by college students it seemed unprofessional. Not a family place to stay.

Dear Guest, thank you for your review. We are happy that the location and our staff was able to help you out with your inquiries. We are aware of the fact that the rooms are not modern anymore. We are working out a renovation project however, this always takes a lot of time until it has been realized. Best regards, Franziska Arnold

Great location to walk to most of the tourist attractions, restaurants, and museums. No luxury, but very clean and comfortable. Beds were good.

Front desk staff was very helpful. The rooms were decent size with good views. The breakfast buffet was exceptional with a wide variety of food (pastries, eggs, meats, cheeses, coffee, tea, juice, cereal etc). Overall we were very impressed. Good location. There are three parking spaces for the hotel at 18/night and only two were I. Use while we were there(we had one) there is a parking garage a block away if the hotel spots are full (not sure on price). The restaurant next to the hotel had good food. They only open for lunch on Sunday once a month. We were lucky enough to be there on that day! It's a family style meal, somewhat pricy, but very good food. I would definitely go back to this hotel.

Comfy hotel in a great neighbourhood

Posted 19-Apr-2016
Pros: although it was not fancy, the hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Cons: I wish you could turn the bathroom light off! We had to keep the bathroom door closed in order to keep the light from flashing on and off.
Location: Covered bridge in Old Lucerne. Walks along the lake. Great chocolate!
Drei Konige was a pleasant place to stay in Lucerne. It is in a very nice neighbourhood and centrally located. The front desk staff speak Enflish and are very helpful. The room was very clean and spacious, and the bed extremely comfortable. The room price included a very generous breakfast, too!

훌륭함

Posted 11-Apr-2016 on Hotels

Good for a short stay

Posted 29-Feb-2016 on Hotels
We were in Lucerne (Luzerne) for one night and wanted a reasonably priced room not far from the train station. The Drei Koenig was about a 10 minute walk (rather scenic). The room was about average size for a European and perfectly adequate for one night. Pro: Convenient to train station free WiFi (if a bit fussy) breakfast included loaner umbrellas available (good thing, it was pouring!) Con: 1. the bathroom had a motion sensor light, so any time we walked near it, the light came on, and stayed on for about 5 minutes. There was no way to turn it off. This was particularly annoying if you needed to use the facilities during the night. 2. You had to sign in to the WiFi over and over, it would not keep a device logged in for more than about 10 minutes. 3. The restaurant options nearby were somewhat limited. We did find a good Spanish Tapas restaurant about a block away.
