"Since it was the off season we were one of the only people staying at the hotel. The staff was so friendly and still made us a wonderful breakfast each day including a lovely green smoothie. Free bottles of water every day and on top of the included breakfast there would be soup and cookies in the lobby every afternoon. Location was great and the lake, shopping and restaurants were all within walking distance. The property is very charming. Muddy/snowy spring isn’t the best time of year to show off the outside but you can see how lovely it would be to sit on the balcony in the summer with a glass of wine. Our room was on the warm side. Our Midwest sensibilities prevented us from putting the AC on when it was snowing outside but we opened the balcony door to cool things down. There was a nice welcome gift for us when we checked in and we have nothing negative to say about our stay. Would stay here again! "

"The event was nicely done on Saturday. Love the mansion. Drinks were very difficult to get, longs lines, not enough staff or areas to get a drink. There was a very crabby man who seemed to be in charge. He was appropriate and keeping order but could have been much more personable and friendly. He was very rude. "
