Parking is not enforced so vehicles were parked irregularly making it difficult to park our own — I took a photo & asked reception to get the truck moved but she did nothing. "Great hotel with view and excellent breakfast. Facilities like the pool could not be used as the pool was dirty. There is a sauna that is good. The beds were comfortable howevr shower area needs maintenance and so does some of the woodwork around thewindows.staff were attentive and helpful. Very close by car to the town of Villa Angostura "

"The setting is glorious, nestled in the woods on a lake. The staff was friendly and eager to please.
Understaffed in the restaurant. Had to wait quite a while each morning for breakfast items to be replenished. The poor employee was doing as much as she could on her own.
No WiFi in the basement where the gym is, so couldn’t use my Peloton app to work out with the hotel’s gym equipment. It’s a classy hotel; I was surprised they didn’t have a booster so we could get WiFi down there.
Kayaking available right from the hotel! What a plus! Unfortunately no single kayaks which is what I like, just two doubles.
There was a lot of condensation on the window in the room which created small pools of water on the window sill and we had to wipe the windows down to be able to see the gorgeous view.
In spite of the problems, and clearly improvements are needed, we enjoyed every minute of our stay!"
"The hotel was beautiful, located right on the lake. Our room was really nice, but the bathroom ceiling was old and crumbling, and the blinds were broken. There was also smell of sewage during the night. We mentioned this to the receptionist and she changed our rooms by the third night and offered us a free dinner at the restaurant as a compensation. The second room was lovely. The pool could use a clean up. But overall the experience was lovely and we got engaged there so we have a special place for this hotel in our memory now:)"

"At checkin, system was down and we did not get the room we paid for. This was corrected by Frontdesk later that evening.
Hotel has huge windows with amazing views but in June (summer) the hotel becomes a furnace. The room and public areas were just too hot for our comfort. There are no airconditioned rooms or areas in the hotel and we could not excape the heat other than go back in our car and drive around.
Our misfortune was that our checkin was December 24 and most services (F&B, Spa) were just not available.
Breakfast (xmas morning!) was nothing particular. Just plain continental without any xmas atmosphere.
Maintenance is needed as many areas show damaged woodwork and painting opportunities.
All in all not the experience we expected. This hotel is probably a better choice in winter time."
"The best view of Villa La Angostura. Family of 5 stayed at a deluxe cabin with a view. Very clean, excellent location if you rent a car, modern and spacious cabin. It had all kitchen utensils and appliances needed for a very comfortable stay. Absolutely recommend! "
