"The room was what we needed to spend a night after a concert in Altos de Chavón: a clean room, hot shower in a nice bathroom and a comfortable bed. The hotel is next to the street and we could hear a dog barking and the siren of an ambulance during the night."

"Hotel is brand new. Clean. Nice rooms with decent amount of space. We had a room that faced the water. It was beautiful on the balcony. Infinity pool wasn't used by us but looked lovely. The biggest problem is that there is nothing nearby. You are basically at the mercy of the hotel unless you Uber somewhere. We arrived and needed to eat around 4:30pm (starving because the airport has no restaurants on the arrival side that we could find). The restaurant had a very small menu of snack bites. I got a chicken Caesar salad which was ok. Dinner wasn't being served until 6pm. We only stayed 1 night before a cruise and it is close to the cruise port so points for that. I would probably stay again but eat before you arrive."

"Great property for the price. Really one of the best bargains in CDC. Comfortable mattresses and nice quality pillows. But, as you can tell from photos, this is an older home and as such, windows are older and so not sound proof if you are a light sleeper. Also, little lizards and other bugs can get in - can be part of the charm with a tropical home that has a screened area open to the home. Just something to mention as one of our party has a phobia to crawly things (even though they do not crawl on you)! Also, does not come with a golf cart and the one that was rented for us was old (the guys at the gas station even commented) and slow. Not sure if there's an option to rent through CDC or not but just an FYI as I'd been to this resort a few times before and had better carts. Julie and the owner both very nice and responsive and again, value for price paid is excellent."
