UY Proa Sur Hotel is probbly the best hotel in La Paloma. Things to improve: I understand winter is around the corner but the property was full of guest and it needed a good clean up. Things to highlight: Best location in town, amazing views, modern and well furnished property, but above all the staff was very firendly and professional. I would like to commend the front desk agent guy in the afternoon shift. I will return!

Very good hotel. Excellent location. Super friendly staff. Good breakfast. The room OK, bed and bathroom correct. The walls had a lot of cracks in the paint and that looked ugly/unkempt. Everything else was super good, I recommend and would return!

I would not stay here again unless there were no other choices. the staff was very nice but this not a well funded property. breakfast was of poor quality and most of furniture was old and torn.

The hotel is old and run down. We had a non smoking room our neighbors were smoking. The smell was in our room and the hallway. Room floor was dirty , blankets in closet were disgusting . Our bedding on the bed was clean. Our sons bed was not set up. The brought up a nasty mattress for him with a filthy pillow. Clean sheets to go on top. Bathroom is small and shower tiles were nasty. Breakfast is subpar. The pool is so small it is more like a hot tub. Front desk check in was okay the person was welcoming.

It has what you need
It wasn't the peak season and can only assume that it would be fully booked as its one of the better hotels in the area. Considering La Paloma is a tiny summer beach town you can't expect the lavish amenities of hotels like in Punta Del Este, however for the purpose of the visit it more than sufficed.

Good hotel according to the touristic facilities of the city and compatible to other hotels in town. Good stay there. the city s not large, you can walk the main street from the hotel, and also walk to the beaches nearby.

Nice place
The room was well appointed and spacious. The bathroom seemed to have some age. The Internet was quite strikingly fast. The room had a lovely view. The hotel was fine, however we didn't spend much time at the hotel.

Great location and helpful staff
I was positively surprised! The hotel was located at the end of the tourist strip which meant it was calm at night, it had an indoors pool and a gym. I was lucky to have a room not facing the street so I could see the lighthouse and listen to the waves of the closeby sea at night - pure bliss :) The staff was super friendly and very helpful! Great modern simple design all kept in light colours, which looks fresh and inviting. I'd be happy to stay again!!

Great little place right on the main street
Stayed here to spend some time on the beach with the wife. There is a nice beach a short walk away. And when its not so nice out side you can relax in the pool. Breakfast was good but basic, toast, fruit, cereal, the usual. There are plenty of restarants in the area, but they open at random times depending on how busy the town is.

Great stay for a budget price
Had we not had a voucher, I would be hard pressed to say that I got my dollars worth at this hotel. At a budget price though it was definitely worth it. The hotel pool and rooms were clean and the breakfast didn't have a large variety but it was still good. It is in good location to restaurants and walking distance to many beaches. The staff was friendly and helpful and our room had an ocean view and view of the lighthouse which was really nice. Our only real complaint was that our door keys continually stopped working and on more than occasion another couple was checked into our room and we had to turn them away. We weren't the only room that experienced this either. Over all if i would give this hotel a 3.5 - go if you can get a deal :)

We arrived in November 2013 . The Hotel appeared fairly new. The location is great, it is on the main strip of La Paloma. It is very close to a Market a bank (right next door,we did not us the ATM but they did have one ) the light house and and several restaurants. Also to the beaches. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom was quite large . The room are very clean and room service for cleaning was very good. It had a large flat screen T.V. and some movie channels were in english.Very nice breakfast room and the complimentary breakfast was good and pretty much standard for what we had in Buenos Aries and the rest of Uruguay. Most rooms in the hotel have views towards the ocean on both sides of the building. There is a gravel parking lot at the rear of the building. The indoor pool I would not go in because it seemed so over chlorinated . The room the pool was in had a super strong chlorine smell. The is very basic but it has a tree mill and stationary bike of which I used. There is also a small weight system. Wifi was not strong enough to use in the rooms but very good in the lobby. I believe one person on staff spoke english. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel well run and very clean. I would think the newest and probably most modern hotel by a long shot in La Paloma. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again.

an ok hotel.. bed was comfy .. several problems and the finish of the ceiling when you laid in bed was just painted concrete pattern of plywood... no balconies if you thought they were in the photos they are not.. no waste basket in bathroom alarm clock did not work... breakfast was really quite good.. just stay out of the way of the old people and the free food

Relaxing location
We arrived in La Paloma in their winter season. The room was very comfortable and the hotel was close to the beach, the lighthouse and a supermarket. There is a small exercise room and a pool (but we didn't use it). The buffet breakfast was good. The staff were friendly. We speak basic Spanish which was useful as there was no English spoken. Watch out in winter there isn't much to do, but we enjoyed our walks on the beach and wildlife-watching. A truly relaxing time.

A diária é bastante cara para o que proporciona, mas acredito que seja o melhor hotel da região. Tem o básico que funciona muito bem: cama confortável, bom chuveiro e café da manhã bem completo. A localização também é muito boa, na avenida principal. O que pode melhorar é a limpeza (nosso banheiro não estava muito limpo), e poderia receber alguns reparos na estrutura que já pede manutenção. Mas como um todo é uma boa hospedagem.

Escolhemos Lá Paloma como ponto de parada de uma viagem mais longa. O hotel, era o que tinha. Bem mais ou menos. Café da manhã super fraco. O que salvou da cidade foi que jantamos bem, no Arrecife.

bem localizado
Bom atendimento dos funcionários. O quarto tem bom tamanho e é confortável. O chão do quarto não parecia estar muito limpo, mas ok. O café da manhã é razoável. A acústica não é boa, mas ok. O hotel é bem localizado, pois está no começo/fim da rua “principal” da cidade, praticamente em frente ao farol. Ou seja, quase de frente ao mar. A praia ao lado direito tem ondas. A praia do lado esquerdo é uma espécie de baía, e não tem onda (com areia mais fina). Gostei mais desta última.

Para descansar
Lugar agradable en baja temporada. El balneario no tiene muchas actividades en invierno pero sirvió para el objetivo de desconectarse del movimiento de la ciudad. Hotel confortable, ayudó mucho que no hubiera mucha gente hospedada. La piscina es chica y con el hotel lleno creería que sería difícil su uso. El gimnasio no lo usé pero está bien. El desayuno acorde a un hotel de esas características. El personal muy atento.

El personal es excelente, super servicial y amables. Nos dejamos olvidada documentacion importante y enseguida nos enviaron foto de ello y se pusieron a disposicion para enviarla a mi pais de origen. La ubicación tb es muy buena, esta en el centro sobre calle principal y a su vez es muy tranquilo.
