It was retro which was sort of cool!! Charged for parking which was not, we have never experienced that. Overall not a bad stay but would not choose it a second time.

We deliberately requested two beds to avoid disturbing your partner, but with that in mind, the individual beds were still noisy when one moved. Not good.

Plesant surprises! Superior room was and is tasteful and update. Price point is a bargain rate. Waffle Shop nice. Going back in time. 1960's. Jacuzzi and pool area is nice. Old hotel with lots of history. The updates to the property are again tasteful

Facility was a bit out dated but extremely clean. Would've preferred a microwave in the room instead of a microwave, tge the tv made up for it all. I especially loved that i kept the do not disturb sign up and it was respected, I was not disturbed. I had issues with the noise outside of the room but i know its to be expected usually. Overall minus the 15$ a night for parking the room rates adequate.

What i didn't like was it use to be Free Parking. Now tbey charge $15. Hotels that offer Free parking is a plus and deciding factor so even though i like Kings if another hotel offers free parking Im going.

Stayed 2 nights. Check in process was smooth and quick, some interesting disclaimers they require you to sign. Crib was provided at request. Parking is paid overnight. Not much soundproofing but everything was quiet by 10pm. Pleasant stay overall.

This is my favorite place to stay, it is great for families and even lone travelers. It is close to everything and the rates on expedia are unbearable

Just had a wonderful time with my son..i did have one big issue though. The pipes were clicking every night I was there up in the ceiling above my head it was hard to sleep both nights I almost said something to get another room and decided not to at the last minute but very uncomfortable. Other than that everything was just great

We took my two teenage grandsons for a two night stay, The property was clean and the staff couldn't be better. The rooms were on the small size, especially the bathroom, but it was sufficient which is all that we needed. It's obvious that the hotel is on the older side but they tired to make the rooms as nice as could be. They had new flooring and new paint in our room. They had a nice flat screen TV with many channels and free WiFi. There are two restaurants. The dinner restaurant was a Mexican restaurant and the food was average. The breakfast Waffle House was amazing! The food is outstanding as well as the service. I highly recommend having breakfast there. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much. For the price, you can't beat it. I forgot to mention, they have a great pool. It was very clean and a very good size with lounges. They also have an adjacent outdoor bar area with nice patio furniture. For an older hotel, and for the price, it was worth the stay. Be aware that there is a charge to park. $15.00 per night There is very good parking there. There is no valet parking but you don't need it. The parking is close to the rooms. All in all, it was a great stay and we will be back.

My daughter and I absolutely enjoyed our stay here. We will definitely stay again, the next time we visit SD. The entire staff from guest services to restaurant staff to the house cleaners are warm and accommodating. The pool and jacuzzi was very popular with the families, I really enjoyed the hot tub. The restaurants on site were amazing, especially The Waffle Spot! Incredible waffles and huge portions! I was so happy to have a breakfast restaurant and Mexican dinner restaurant on site, the food was great and the prices were just right. For what I paid to stay for 2 nights, well worth it. I loved the atmosphere and I thought it was so cute how well decorated for Easter, the place was. Apparently, the owner decorated for all big holidays. I bet this place is magical at Christmas.

Motel isn't fancy and retro but everything you need is there. Its clean, safe, and affordable which is perfect for a one night stay before flying home. All the other hotels nearby were at least double the price. Fridge and pool/hot tub are bonuses. Consider adding a microwave and thicker blanket! This is perfect for a family that needs a budget option.
