Hotel in a quiet location

Posted 14-Aug-2017
Pros: The position of the hotel with wonderful view of Venice. The facilities such as the executive lounge are a plus and well worth the cost.
Cons: Just maintain the existing standard
Location: Just get aboard the hotel shuttle to Venice and enjoy.
I found the stay very enjoyable and will stay here again.

Nice hotel, but pool area needs improving

Posted 08-Aug-2017
Pros: Clean Good views from rooftop Smelt nice Quick check-in Airport watertaxi picks up from outside (takes 1h 30)
Cons: Temperature of the pool, more seating and some shade. Price of the drinks to match that of the bar next door!
Location: Lots of good quality restaurants near by, with great views across to Venice. Quite easy to get a good table on the waterfront, even in July/Aug.
As expected the pool was smaller than it looks in the photos and unfortunately there weren't that many sunloungers so quite a lot of people were sat on the floor. I realise space is limited but I think they could have got a few more deckchairs in on the first level instead of sofas which were often unused. One day there were lots of towels on beds and no one around, but eventually staff started to clear these away which was much appreciated. The pool was freezing even though it had been 30-34 degrees for several days! I was also miffed that it was 16E for Aperol spritz at the pool bar, but if you went to the Skyline bar next door it was only 14E along with free olives and peanuts, so basically people paying to stay at the hotel, using their facilities, were being charged more than people who were just coming in off the street to use the bar. Surely this should be the other way around?! All that being said the room was nice, although we had two single beds pushed together and not a king as we had paid for. Transport to and from Guidecca is easy, we didn't bother with the Hilton watertaxi and just used the Vaporetto to get everywhere. We felt very safe until we saw a violent brawl one afternoon further along the waterfront which left us quite shaken! I wouldn't get a private watertaxi from the airport as it doesn't go through the canals until after 3pm (apparently) so our trip in at 12pm was quite disappointing as it went around the outside. 130E to boot!

Superb staff and hotel.

Wow - what a team of professionals. They made you feel more welcome than family yet completely ready to help with anything and always with a smile. Great way to stay in Venice. Regular shuttle boat to Saint Marks mean you can see Venice and escape Venice hub-bub. Roof top pool and bar give perfect relaxation and fanatastic views. Plus local bars and restaurants just a stroll away from Harry' Dolce to pizza by the slice. Will recommend to everyone. Perfect.

Not corporate

Posted 04-Aug-2017
This hotel is not the corporate monster you might expect. It's big, but never feels crowded, and other than the overpriced drinks and snacks, it was fantastic. I would definitely return.

Hilton Molino Stucky Venice

Posted 03-Aug-2017
Pros: I think our above comments sum up what we llked about the hotel.
Cons: I think perhaps the choice of having the twin beds in the lounge area removed through the day so we could have made more effecitve use of the space.
Location: One shuttle bus and 15 minutes later, you were in San Marcos' Square. We did not have time to explore the rest of the areas nearby.
We had a three day four night stay in an Executive Suite overlooking Venice, the cost at the time felt steep four Two Adults and Two 13 year olds. We arrived at the hotel earllier than expected and at check in were given the key to the executive lounge to use throughout our stay, which again we expected. What we did not expect was the quality and abundance of food and drink throughout the day from breakfast, which included scrambled egg and fried pancetta (which was the substitue for bacon) which is delicious, The children were able to snack throughout the day and take hot chocoloate to bed and the cost was nil. A beauitiful hotel, with a lovely pool, a scenic view of Venice and again we were pleased that we had a shuttle from the hotel to St Marcs' Square as often as we wished to go, by the way the kids go free on the shuttle and you only pay once for your entire stay (6 euros per person). The staff were efficient and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble and on the last day we had a meal outside and they were obliging enough to prepare food that would suit the mood and the taste that you wished. Only thing is if you do not want bread baskets, please refuse as they will cost you pehaps a lot more than expected, and this also goes for eating throughout Venice. Thank you Hilton Milono, we shall indeed be back and we look forward to yet another wonderful stay and for giving our grandchildren such a wonderful experience of Venice.
