"The staff made the entire trip special. Juan & Luisa, the owners of the Phoenix Restaurant are incredibly friendly. There was no hot water however, so just be prepared for that. The views can not be beaten in Fortuna. You oversee the lake and the volcano and the property is full of beautiful plants, flowers and wildlife. Make sure to rent an suv or something with off road capabilities because to get to the hotel you have to trek up a gravel road up hill. But it’s worth every second of it. The...

"We loved the ambience of this place. Driving in at night was whimsical with mushroom lights guiding the way. The room was artsy and fun. Breakfast was picture-worthy and the hosts were friendly and knowledgeable. This felt like a great starting point for our Costa Rica trip with a more authentic feel."

Paradise Hot Springs - Thermal Water & Volcano Views
10/10 Excellent
"The maid service was top notch my wife and I diid not have to ask for clean towels the room was very clean and spacious. The gardens were outstanding and the thermal pools were excellent. I would stay there again. Greater views overlooking Arenal mountain."
"The property was very unique- literally set in the rainforest! It was so lovely to sit on the patio and hear the birds, watch the hummingbirds, look at the volcano and be at peace. We stayed in the suite deluxe room which was incredible. We especially loved the open air rock shower! The rooms were very comfortable, spacious, and were cleaned daily. The property is quite steep but very doable to walk around if you don’t have any health conditions. The resort offers rides in golf carts at any time if needed to get around. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The property is beautifully maintained with a number of trails to walk around and enjoy.
We loved the large swim up hot tub and pool with food and bar service available.
The included breakfast in the restaurant was delicious with different fresh items offered daily as well as an egg making station. We ate at the bar and restaurant and found the food to be very good!
As far as the location, it’s about a 25 minute drive from the town of La Fortuna, located minutes from Mistico hanging bridges tour. While some may want to be in the town closer to activities, we found the location to be a major positive. We felt thoroughly immersed in nature and removed from the hustle and bustle of the town. It was super easy to get into town with a car. Overall, we can’t recommend this place enough. It was perfect for our vacation."
The Royal Corin Thermal Water Spa & Resort - Adults Only
10/10 Excellent
"We travel often and it’s great when you stay at a property that not only gets it right, but excels in every category. This is the Royal Corin hotel. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff handled our check-in with precision and was so welcoming. They handled all the Expedia perks (bottle of wine, room upgrade and welcome drink) and were so nice every time we saw them during our stay. The service at the restaurants and bars is amazing and be sure to say “hi” to Francisco and Tatiana at the pool bar while enjoying the multiple pools and jacuzzi’s! The 5th floor restaurant was really good and we had a good time with the staff. Daily breakfast- nice with the same friendly service you find throughout the hotel. This is a boutique property with an awesome staff. Why stay anywhere else??"
"We love this property and the staff went out of their way to help us. We left passports in the room and they helped us get them delivered to our new location in Tamarindo. The staff made the stay special!"
