"The breakfast at the neighboring bar was so great! The room itself was plain and comfortable, with a good view out the balcony over the beautiful rolling countryside. I made good friends with some of the folks working there -- the bartender and the cleaning ladies were so, so kind. The bed was so comfortable and the wifi was strong and fast. However it must be said that the customer service of the host was confused, scattershot, and half-hearted. Understanding that there are cultural differences between assumptions and expectations in hospitality from place to place, I didn't exactly feel welcome at this space. Whenever I had a question or request it was quite evident that the host didn't really want to hear it, help, or be there to assist. For the space itself, I'd wholeheartedly recommend staying there! Just make sure that you don't need anything out of the ordinary."

"If you book this hotel and you use Google maps to find it, then put in Gandullas only as this is the village the hotel is in. Maps took me to 3 different places before some locals at my third stop gave me the correct address. They said I was in Pinuecar and not Gandullas. Very hard to find. But then I was able to access the property but there is nothing in the village by way of bars or restaurants. I had to go onto the next town to find something to eat. But I have to say I had a comfortable night and the room was good and the bed good and it was very quiet. It was a clean establishment so for the price I have to admit it was very much worth it. Just make sure you have a phone to contact the owner to get in and then go to the nearest town to find food and drinks."
