Petite chambre mais nous étions à la recherche d'un hébergement type ryokan, tout en souhaitant une salle de bain privée, et cet hôtel cochait toutes les cases. We could easily get around Kyoto due to proximity to all types of transport. There is a nice mall on the short walk to the hotel called Avanti, and we spent great deal of time shopping and dining there. With respect to the room, it was kind of what I expected, although much smaller. I could barely fit into the bathroom. We were unable to wear footwear and pack our suitcases over the tatami mats, which gave a very very limited space for doing that. Not the best choice if you are looking for decent space. It is close to kyoto station making it easy to venture out.
