"This is the perfect place for an authentic Japanese experience. The staff are wonderful and the meals are superb. Tranquil surroundings with a 5 star multi-course meals each day for breakfast and dinner. The sauna and hot baths were great for winding down after a day of touring. Touring was easy because bus lines and train lines are nearby. We were sorry to leave the Tea House and really hope to return some day. "

"We finished our honeymoon at this hotel, and it was truly an amazing experience. The staff was incredible and made our stay feel so special. We had a couples massage that felt like it shaved ten years off both therapists were fantastic. The thermal pool was beautiful and impeccably clean, making it the perfect place to relax. "Great value and all you need to stay and enjoy Kyoto. A short(10 minute) walk to the subway line and then 4 stops to Kyoto Station. Across the street from the Imperial Garden which is a huge park, green space, and historical site. "

The owner was very kind and he provided precise recommendations for transit. He also provided us with a map of Kyoto as well as a general guidebook for tourists. "The owner was very lovely and polite, he prep matcha tea for welcoming us also offering fresh bread making in the morning for our breakfast but my family were very tired from a long day travelling and activities we did in the area, we just want to sleep in so we had to miss out on that. House was clean. The bath was the highlight for us. Just the tap in both toilets a bit hard to operate so we had to wash our hands in the bathroom instead."

"There were two Japanese well maintained gardens and stone paving hallway outside. They were beautiful and they made us feel very historical culture. The summer season in Kyoto is very uncomfortable to stay outside because of the hight temperature but, in this house, for some reason we could stay comfortably without air conditioner. It was a huge house but all the rooms were cleaned perfectly. Especially we were impressed with the bathroom. The high-tech toilets beautiful wooden bath tub made us...

"The room was a bit dusty & only separated from the reception by a sliding door. We didn’t feel like there was a lot of privacy & could hear the receptionist (talking/ sweeping etc.) very clearly. There was ”casual” cleaning during the stay, and the one day we didn’t get asked and answer that we wished for them to clean, they didn’t which was annoying."
